Is the scar appearance normal? I thought it wouldn’t be so red? Also, the scar seems placed too high. Is this normal? I’m not sure of the results and even though I don’t have flabby skin, I am feeling insecure with the results. Would love opinions of doctors and if there are any recommendations. Thank you.

Thank you for your question. The medical term for the dark line is linea nigra. It’s associated with pregnancy. It does resolve over time in most people but may take years. Some options for trying to reduce the appearance include laser, peels and skin lightening procedure.
