I had 2500 grafts ARTAS hair transplant in Costa Rica and that didn't even give 20% of growth, also my doctor in USA said they lied about 2500 grafts and didn't even transplant 1000. It's been a year. How long do I need to wait for another hair transplant ?
Answer: Artas FUE When we do our Artas cases, we find that patients typically see their full results 9-15 months out from the procedure. However, you should have a pretty good grasp on how much hair is going to grow at the 12 month mark. It is unlikely you will have much more growth at this point. You are safe to proceed with another FUE procedure at this time. Seek out a reputable practice that will guarantee you get what you pay for. Best of luck! Dr. G

Answer: Re: Repairing Artas Hair Transplant Results I am very sorry to hear about your outcome. 12 months following your procedure is an appropriate time to start thinking about undergoing a repair procedure. Graft survival can be impaired by many different factors such as transection, which is caused by the surgical instrument. Exposure to evaporative forces is another leading contributor. Ensuring successful survival and yield requires understanding what the leading risk factors are and having measures in place to safe-guard against them. After seeing so many patients, like yourself, who have experienced disappointing results, my team and I at the Dr.U Hair and Skin Clinics took on the initiative of identifying very specific contributors to hair transplant graft damage in order to develop our Dr.UGraft ™ surgical system for extractions. We also urge patients to become familiar with how different tools and technologies work to accomplish their ultimate end goals. This knowledge can help prevent regretful outcomes, like what you reported in the future.

Answer: Poor growth after donor harvesting with FUE technique (ARTAS) Excellent question. Sorry about your results. No, the problem wasn't the ARTAS device used for the FUExcision, the ARTAS machine or manual or motorized punch devices require a well TRAINED and EXPERIENCED surgeon for assisting him/her during the surgical plan and technique of the FUExcisions and all the steps of the hair transplant surgery. Many times the poor growth is related to the poor hair graft quality with high transection rate and poor technique for the creation of the recipient sites and placing the grafts. Poor hair growth and survival rate are a result of multifactors. I will suggest you to book a 2nd or 3rd opinion with a well trained and experience hair restoration surgeon.
