How much a procedure costs is the most common question patients have when considering cosmetic surgery. The simple answer is: for breast augmentations you're looking at 7000 -10000 in Toronto. However, as a patient, you should understand what is the reason different surgeons charge different fees, and even within any clinic, there is a fee range that is offered. The cost of a breast augmentation depends on the following factors:1) Who is doing your surgery? (a less experienced surgeon is likely going to be cheaper than a more experienced surgeon)2) Where is the procedure being performed? Some facility costs are cheaper than others.3) What type of an implant are you getting? There are various implants on the market and they cost different amount (saline implants are cheapest, silicone is more expensive, and shaped/anatomic silicone implants are the most expensive.... this is simply the cost of the implants, it however does not reflect on the quality of the implant)4) What technique is used to perform the surgery (although most surgeons charge the same fee regardless of what technique they use, in some cases a premium may be charge when special supplies etc are required to achieve the desired results - for example we use a device called Keller funnel which adds several hundred dollars to the cost of the surgery but the purpose of this device is to keep your scars smaller/shorter and to lower the risk of infection and capsular contracture. We believe these benefits are well worth the extra cost to our patients.)5) What kind of anesthesia will you be getting and who will be doing it? Like surgeons, different anesthetists charge different fees, and use different anesthetic agents. At the Toronto Cosmetic Surgery Institute our anesthetist come with probably the most extensive cosmetic surgery experience in Toronto. And the medications we use are more expensive than others, but we use them not to have an excuse to charge you more, but to keep you more comfortable, in less pain, and minimal to no nausea and vomiting after surgery.6)What else is included with your surgery? Some are bare bones deals - you get your implants and good bye, while others include a comprehensive pre-surgical assessment, and a thorough post-surgical follow up. (we've heard from other patients about their friends getting their BA elsewhere, and after the surgery they saw their surgeon only at one week after surgery and never again! We don't do that ... at our clinic you are welcome to come back and see us as often as needed, and we have a schedule of follow up visits for a full year after your surgery to ensure you get the best results possible.)Additional extras that are included At the Toronto Cosmetic Surgery Institute are the following:- unlimited pre-op visits to make sure you are ready for your surgery and chose the right implant- unlimited post-op visits to ensure you are healing well and are happy with your results- 24/7 access to one of our nurses in case of an emergency- overnight stay at the luxurious Royal York Hotel after your surgery - you can certainly go home if you wish, but having the luxury of being wheeled into your luxurious room and relax there overnight after your surgery is priceless. We then see you in your room the following morning to check on you. - Lifetime warranty on implants- Free touch ups should there be a need for any small procedures (limited to 1 year after surgery. Any problems arising from failure to follow post-operative instructions are excluded)- Access to a hospital should you wish to have your procedure done at a hospital rather than at our private clinic, or should you need to be seen at a hospital for medical reasons. The decision to have Breast Augmentation is a major step for most women and therefore it is recommend you do your homework and be prepared with questions during a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon. Hello! Thank you for your question. Costs of the breast augmentation procedure will certainly vary depending on your geographic location. Things to factor in for the surgery standpoint will be the facility fee, anesthesia fee, surgeon fee, implant cost (saline vs. silicone), other fees (e.g., acellular dermal matrix cost, pain pump, surgical garment, etc.). Typically augmentation with saline implants will be ~$1000 less than with silicone implants and ~$1000 less than shaped, cohesive gel implants. Consultation with plastic surgeons who you are interested in having perform your procedure and satisfied with the photographic results is advised. Financing options can be discussed with each office individually, if they offer, or there are other private institutions and companies such as CareCredit who may be able to assist you, if you qualify. A range of $4000-10000 is reasonable for a standard breast augmentation alone, depending on the factors above, the complexity, surgeon experience, and the implant chosen. Hope these answers help! Best wishes!
Breast augmentation is often performed to replace volume lost from weight loss, breast-feeding, or age or to increase the size of the breast for aesthetic reasons. The cost is variable and is based on what is done, the type of implant, and geographic variability. An estimate of the costs for a breast augmentation surgery in the Ontario area can be found below. Quoted fees may or may not include facility, anesthesia, and implant costs. A detailed examination will help delineate the best surgical option and provide you a custom quote for your situation. Consultation with a surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery would be the next best step.
Cost varies by region of the province, surgeon and type of implant. in general you are looking at a $5,000-10,000 range for a straightforward augmentation. The only way to know for sure is to book a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon near you. Best of luck!
You can expect to pay from $6500 to $9,500 for a breast augmentation procedure performed in Ontario, Canada. The price includes the cost of the breast implant themselves, surgical facility fee, the surgeon's fee and anesthetist's fee. The portion of this cost dedicated to just the breast implants would be $1000 - $3000. Typically, saline implants are less expensive than silicone. Other than saline or silicone, there are usually no other factors that contribute to determining the cost of breast implants. For example, bigger implants cost the same as smaller implants (size, shape or texture do not affect the price). If you're concerned about the cost, there are very reasonable financing options available where you'd only have to pay $100 or $200 a month. Good luck on your breast augmentation! There are many talented surgeons in Ontario.
It depends on where you get it done, who does it, and what implants you choose. Generally it will cost between $5000-$9000 in Toronto. Our fellowship clinic doesn't charge a surgeon's fee, and tends to have much lower costs. Warmest Regards, Asif Pirani, MD, FRCS(C)

Breast implants are available in both smooth and textured surfaces. For my patients, I recommend massage for all patients with smooth implants, whether under or over the muscle. This is because massage really does help reduce capsular contracture risk, especially early after surgery...
Hi. My general advice is: don't do it!. 400 cc's is probably the safe limit for you. Huge implants stretch the tissues and age very badly.
There is no way to guarantee a particular bra size. Bra sizing varies greatly between bra manufacturers and a C in one bra will be a D in another. What matters more than the assigned bra size is the way the implant looks on you. The best option for your body and aesthetic goals can be determined...
