Would of an Extra 100cc Make a Difference in Cup Size?

I usually tell my patients that 100cc is just barely the point where most patients even begin to notice any kind of difference. So you probably wouldn't see that much with just 100...

I am glad that your surgery went very well and that you are happy with the results.  From time to time, patients wonder what they would have looked like if they went slightly larger with their implant size.

 

First, for you to look noticeably larger, you most likely will have to have gone at least 150 cc to 200 cc larger.  With that said, it appears that your size is already a very nice size in terms of volume for most patients.  Although it may seem like you would have been happier with a slightly larger size, you must consider how they will look over time in terms of months and years.  Larger implants are heavier and your skin envelope has to hold them up against gravity as you age.  If the implants are larger, the skin may not be able to hold things up and the breasts may become saggy.  I always tell patients that between volume and shape, shape is always much more important.  So, if you are happy with your current size and shape, you will most likely keep that shape for longer with you current size than if you went to 800 cc.  

 

So, I think you and your plastic surgeon made the right choice with your current size.

With very large implants like the ones you have now, 100 cc's will make a slight difference, but in general I do not recommend excessively large implants because they can lead to  more problems.

100 cc would have made a small difference. The larger implant would be about one-third of an inch wider, with about the same projection.

Were you to change them now, I doubt you would see a noticeable difference. 100cc would make a difference at lower sizes, but not up near the top.

Although 100 mL additional volume would have certainly changed the appearance/size of the breast, it is not possible to know whether it would necessarily change the bra cup size. As you know, brought cup sizes will vary from one manufacturer to another…

100cc is not a big difference. 200-225 cc is about one cup size. If you went with 800cc it would have been the same size just fuller.
