I am a CrossFit addict and U.S. Marine. I do weightlifting workouts twice a day, 6 days a week, which left me with very small breasts. Prior to CrossFit I was a 34B, but went down to a 34A. Paired with muscular shoulders and legs, I looked very disproportioned. My ex-husband said I lost my femininity and looked masculine. This made me feel very self conscious. Since I'm not willing to give up my love of Crossfit, I decided to balance my figure with breast implants. I really could have it all! Muscles and feminine breasts! Dr. Kincaid was my first and only consultation. After meeting with him and his staff, I felt extremely comfortable and felt no need to look elsewhere. Not only was I impressed with Dr. Kincaid's extensive list of education and experience, but his office happened to have some incredible discounts when I went in. I got a discount for paying cash, one for booking before a certain date and I believe I got 5% off for being active duty military! My procedure for silicone gel under the muscle was $5,600 with all of the discounts!!!! Now, onto the surgery and results. I'm not going to whine and complain about the pain, because it is surgery...it's going to be painful. But I can honestly say that once I saw my amazing new breasts, it was worth all of the pain. I went with 520 cc, which brought me from a 34A to a 34D-34DD! I look amazing now! For the first time in my life I am comfortable with my body. I would do this procedure a hundred times over. My scars are very clean and obviously the work of a skilled surgeon. I have seen hundreds of before & after photos and I think my breasts look better than all of the ones I saw. I'm amazed with my results. They feel great! They're amazing!!!!!! GO TO DR. KINCAID! Updated on 16 Aug 2013: So, I posted that I went from a 34A to a 34D. CORRECTION! I was measured today at a 32DDD. I can also wear a 34DD, but on the last hook, so if it stretches it would be too big. Wowzers! I wasn't expecting to measure in that large. I'm pretty excited! Would it be excessive to buy the "Add 2 cup sizes bra"? Updated on 24 Aug 2013: I'm now at 8 weeks post op. I am now able to do 3 sets of 10 pull-ups. I have to kip a bit, but I'll take it!
Personal choice.
I had my consultation on 3/5/10. I meet with a board certified Plastic Surgeon, They were wonderful, He told me what was realistic to expect at my young age of 48. I am 5'6 145LB. I have done alot of research for over a year, and I am glad that I choose a JACHO accredited Surgery Center to have this done and I will be under General Anestheia,They estimate the procedure will last about an 1 1/2 hours. I am having my surgery tomorrow 3/18/10, I am nervous!!! I have all my meds filled and bought a shower curtain to place on my bed, as they say alot of fluid leakage. I will post pre-op photos and post op photos after the procedure. Wish me Luck!! I have been having anxiety all day and just want tomorrow to come and wake up on Friday.. Will keep you posted on how it goes.. Updated on Mar 23, 2010: Updated on Mar 24, 2010: Day 1-Arrived at the Surgery center in San Diego for a surgery at 1130am.I was given a nice wardrobe to change into, so very cach'e.. I love the blue and I got this great Purple Gown that had a hose that hooked up to what looked like a blow dryer to keep you warm, witch was wonderful since those surgery centers are kept at 65 degrees.... anyway mu doctor came in and went over the procedure with me and then took photos. He asked me if I wanted him to be aggresive or moderate. He explained by going aggresive that it may leave un eveness in the skin so I said Pass!! just go moderate. Well I think he went aggressive anyway!I was rolled in to suregery room and was given my general ansethisa, I donot remember anything until I woke up. I had alot of burning in my abdoman so I was given an IV injection of some sort and 2 perkacet. that did the trick right away, Feeling no pain now. And off home I went. My husband was wonderful.First night up every two hours going potty..Drinking tons of water and gatorade.Norco for pain every 4 hours.Day 2-Horrible. I was in so much pain could not get out of bed, My wonderful husband placed a belt on my canopy so I had something to use to pull myself up.I had to go to doctor that afternoon for my postop check, I was miserable, In alot of pain. He took the bandages off and said I looked great. The leaking was starting to slow now. I went right back home and went to bed. Slept all day on pain meds.Day 3- I felt a little better and thought I could stop the pain meds and take tylenol. My husbadn washed my hair for me and I washed the blood out of the garment Iw as wearing. I go really dizzy when I removed it and had to lay down, Becareful when you do this that you have someone with you. I think they took 300cc from me, is what I was told. The itching started this day and it was brutal. So I found Benadryl it works and helps you sleep.Day 4- OMG I woke up with my whole pubic are so swollen when looked down I could not see the floor. Black and Blue everywhere. down my inner thight, all over my butt and under my arms .. Thank God I knew this would happen. But the leaking has stopped and I can remove the shower curtain off my bed. Yippee!! Oh and by the way I have not had a bowel movement since surgery, So I decided to take a Womens laxative to help me along,Day 5- Today was the check up with the doctors office to see how I am progressing. I am still really swollen and could not get on any of my jeans or pants for that matter. I had to wear streatchey PANTSS!!! ( not to happy about that) When I go to the doc. He told me I was looking really good and that all the numbness and itching was normal. All the bruising and swelling was normal and tha tI could expect to see swelling on and off for 5 to 6 months. He told me this is not like an instant gratification like getting a hair cut. It is Surgery and you have to be patient. I was really depressed and in alot of pain after a long day of working and driving around, And no Pain medication on board. Well wouldnt you know it. Rigth while I am in the docs office waiting form y exam, WHAM! I got to go, I mean I got to go Right Now!So after 5 days of no ... you know.. I have to invade the doctors rest room. It was not good. I was exhausted and went home feeling very weak. I was in so much pain by 900pm I was crying and could not move so Back on the pain pills I went. I woke up every 3 1.2. hours to take the pain meds, and itch a little. It was a long night.Day 6-I woke up this morning still very swollen nothing has changed. I am still in pain like someone has stretched my skin really tight over my hips, The garment seems to be getting looser so I had my Husband Cinch it down for me this morning, I had a full shower and feel nice and clean, I think I am going to stay on my pain meds for another few days. It is not worth trying to get off them and them have it all hit you at one time. I have a very low tolerance for Pain and bruise easily so I eally am struggling with the constant pain. not to mention the bruising, And No sex!! How long does this last? No one every metions this. I am newly married only two years and my husband did not want me to do this but, I assured him it was no big deal and I would be up and running in about a week,++ NOT SO MUCH+++Thank God for such a wonderful understanding man. I am really very hopeful that when this is all over and I am on my way to Turks and Caios in September I will look the way I want to in a bikini. I am going to continue to wear my garment for the 6 weeks doc recommends. and then switch to spanx.. I will post new pictures when I am all finished healing... I am only 29 and had nasolabial folds that really bothered me. I had juvederm injected during another surgical procedure and when I woke up, I immediately could see the difference and was happy. I hardly had any bruising. In fact, I don't know if the marks I woke up with were from the marker or the injection site because by the time I washed my face, which was about a day later, they were gone.
Horrific. Simply horrific. I cannot begin to describe the nightmare difficulties I have from breast augmentation surgery with this man. Disfigurement, uneven appearance, implant slippage, pain, heartache. Dishonorable attitude towards it all. Office staff is a mess, high pressure sales consultation, very odd and uncomfortable bedside manner. Why is this man still in business? The worst doctor ever. If you don't want to be disfigured stay away from Dr. Kincaid. (Stuart B. Kincaid)
Amongst all the obvious challenges and uncertainties about making a major change in your appearance, what I found most difficult was choosing a size for breast augmentation. Dr. Kinkaid was amazing. He did a great job of informatively guiding me to pick a size that would make me comfortable and compliment my physique Updated on 22 Oct 2015: I wrote my first review pretty after my initial surgery. I quickly realized that the breast augmentation was very poorly performed and I developed a medical condition that clearly pointed to poor hygiene during the procedure after consulting with several doctors. Simply unacceptable in the day and age. When I went back to see Dr. Kincaid he behaved like a shark and wanted to charge me even more than the initial procedure to correct his own problem! I researched him in depth & chose not to be butchered by him again. I have since recovered from a costly traumatic journey of the corrective surgery. He filed bankruptcy & is now masquerading under the umbrella of Beverly Hills Physicians!! That tells a lot in itself. I am hope this information saves others from the wrath of this man. I just wonder how such incompetent doctors are allowed or manage to continue practicing?
I went into my procedure 5'6", 120lbs, with a few trouble areas: outer thighs, upper/lower tummy, back rolls, mozilla side boobs. I am very fit for my age - no kids. Due to the difficult recovery from an accident, I developed problem areas of fat that won't go away and now have significant cellulite issues. I am very modest but in the Summer like to wear a midriff which I have not done in 20 yrs since my accident because I hated my stomach appearance. I thought SmartLipo was the answer - I have done mesotherapy, countless workout routines including personal fitness training etc and nothing worked. I only wanted my tummy done but after consulting with a prominent La Jolla doc, who said SmartLipo is a piece of cake and urged me to do the other areas...gee, I am already under anaesthesia..., off I went to surgery. I had five areas done in Nov 2007. My outer thighs are smooth as a baby's butt!!! My stomach is ruined with lumps and sagging skin - I cannot believe I ruined my nice body over a little protruding tummy...it hurts like hell too. I take Vicodin every couple hours just to get through the day. Recovery wise, I could not get dressed for 6 days. My crotch is bigger than my dog's head. My back boobs and love handles are slightly improved but I am still horribly swollen and bruised so only time will tell. One side of my waistlibe is more sculpted than the other and on my small frame it really is obvious. It was the most painful thing I have experienced in my life - I have been through a lot and am a "tough" girl when it comes to pain - this was awful. despite the results, I would never have willingly gone through the recovery - I was not well-informed. Updated on 11 Feb 2011: Updated on 15 Dec 2011: Four years later and it's better but horrific. I am finally willing to add some pictures. I have tried just about everything - now whats left is a tummy tuck with a huge ugly scar. Updated on 31 Jul 2013: 6 yrs later, I could not find any "non-invasive" treatment to resolve the deformities left by the Smart Lipo. The final resolution was to do a full tummy tuck and suffer having a big scar. B/c I have not had kids, I did not need muscle repair. I am now 6 days post op and hoping to have the drain removed tomorrow. The pain is much less than I expected and I am not really uncomfortable. I will post photos as soon as I am able. I am advocating AGAINST Smart Lipo for anyone that is of light frame . . . it is not the answer to trouble spots and will likely end as mine did. Updated on 1 Aug 2013: After 6 yrs of various attempts to "fix" the botched Smart Lipo, here I am having had a full tummy tuck to cure the defects. It's still not perfect but it's a heck of a lot better. Updated on 2 Aug 2013: Still have drain in and compression garment very uncomfortable. Not sleeping through the night comfortably yet. Updated on 2 Aug 2013: I'm liking what I see here . . . ;D Updated on 2 Aug 2013: After multiple attempts to fix the bad Smart Lipo, I finally feel like I will look more normal. Sadly, now I have a huge TT scar but it's better than what I was dealing with so, I'll take it. Updated on 3 Aug 2013: Day 09 post op from FULL Tummy Tuck. Looks like it will be really cut when the swelling is gone. Updated on 3 Aug 2013: Making progress . . . hmm, where is the swelling? Updated on 4 Aug 2013: I was bitten on my belly the day before surgery and it almost derailed my TT as it was right where the incision was supposed to go on my left hip. Thankfully, I convinced my doc that he was going to cut that skin away so I did not think he needed to be concerned - he was concerned anyway and put me on Cirpo. Updated on 5 Aug 2013: This scar is not that bad and will only improve from here. Updated on 6 Aug 2013: No pain today, fully upright, normal energy level . . . scar is tiny and I feel really happy today. Having coffee and gonna sit in my office to work. Updated on 6 Aug 2013: Updated on 6 Aug 2013: So I looked at my hardwood floors with a huge GASP!!! My dogs have created very large dust bunnies. My hubby has been a fantastic caregiver but I guess he forgot how to sweep and dust over the course of our marriage. Anyway, I'm exhausted from sweeping and taking a break - it sucks. I highly recommend securing a housekeeper at least once a week until you're back on your feet . . . for those of us who do not have housekeepers. Updated on 7 Aug 2013: For those of you following my TT procedure, I've just done a new review and posted photos. Updated on 7 Aug 2013: I bought this bikini 6 yrs ago and just removed the tags this morning . . . gee . . . wonder if it's still in style? Updated on 7 Aug 2013: A picture says a thousand words Updated on 28 Aug 2013: Friends don't let friends get Smart Lipo. Updated on 12 Nov 2013: I had to have a second Full TT b/c my skin would not heal and I developed a large seroma with thick scar tissue. I am now just 5 days out. I'm in a lot of pain but the results seem good so far. Because of what happened the first time, I have two drains in which won't be removed til Friday (God willing). So, again, I cannot warn women enough times NOT to get SL. It's a bad procedure. Updated on 2 Dec 2013: I think my issues have been resolved - I hope my story helps one person avoid the horrific disfigurement of Smart Lipo. I've suffered two Full TTs and have lost five months of my life having to rest. Updated on 6 Feb 2014: Updated TT photos after 2nd Full TT - 3 months PO. . . also, minor scar revision to remove vertical scar yesterday and to revise new BA revision . . . I guess it takes me two times to get these things right. lol
I'm 5' 120 34B (small B) had my consiltation February 10th with Dr. Kincaid and my pre-op the same day =). I'm scheduled for surgery February 22 at 0730. I'll be going with 420cc Saline under the muscle. I'm anxious and nervous and just want the day to come! I'd like some feed back on how everyone's recovery is or was? Updated on 17 Feb 2012: Feb 17, 5 more days.... eekkkk i'm so excited! Updated on 21 Feb 2012: Tomorrow is the big day! Surgery is at 730, i'm so excited. I know i probably won't sleep because i'm think i'll sleep through my alarm clock! lol.. wish me luck
You should see some results certainly within a few days after your liposuction procedure , but there are a number of variables including your age?, previous pregnancies and number?, skin quality and laxity ?, major weight loss?, were you placed in a compressive garment immediately post op to minimize swelling? what specific type of liposuction- conventional, Power Assisted, Smart Lipo, Vaser Ultrasonic Assisted Liposuction?I tell my patients that they should realize 60-70% of there results within 6-8 weeks as the swelling goes down and the scar tissue softens. However the final result can take up to six months and for the overlying skin to optimally contract.Stuart Kincaid MD, FACSSan Diego/ La Jolla 858 450 4199Temecula 951 695 9934
Thanks for your question and photos. Do be aware that some people at your young age do have congenital puffy eyes from inheritance. Your concern with appearance is primarily with puffy bulging lower eyelid fat pads. I do not think you have overly aging , loose eyelid skin. I am not fond of injectables to the eyelids as they last only a few months and can lead to an unnatural lumpy look as the overlying eyelid skin is very thin and unforgiving.Stuart Kincaid MD, FACSSan Diego/La Jolla 858 450 4199Temecula 951 695 9934
This is normal following your procedure. If your surgeon tells you that you have sufficiently healed then you may massage your breasts several times a day with moisturizing cream that will further stimulate nerve regeneration. Do be aware that human nerve tissue regenerates slowly and that you may experience continued nerve regeneration and progressive return of sensation for up to 12-18 months.Stuart Kincaid MD, FACS San Diego 858 450 4199Temecula 951 695 9934
From the information you have provided I think your "game plan" is reasonable, but do be aware that a "fake look" is variable and subjective depending upon your personal perception and wishes and overall chest proportions The fact that you are using fairly large High Profile Implants ( although you could go even larger to 800cc) and there are even ultra high profile implants available as well. Placement under the muscle ( will hold the implants higher)which will give you more superior breast fullness.Discuss and size and profile options further with your surgeon before proceeding with surgery.Stuart Kincaid MD, FACS858 450 4199951 695 9934
There are several issues here that vary from patient to another. "Size of the Seroma" is relative and what actually seems "large" to you might well be absorbed over time If it is truly large then a sterile needle aspiration in a doctor's office might well be indicated followed by placement in an overlying compression garment to minimize recollection of fluid. Also you must be aware of liability issues for physicians as you indicated you went out of country for your procedure so you might want to consult with your original surgeon or seek out a local surgeon willing to take care of this not uncommon complication.Stuart Kincaid, MD, FACS
