If you are ever concerned please always speak to your provider so they are aware and can guide you through the healing process. It can take 3-5 days for most people to recovery from fraxel dual. It also depends based on how sensitive the patients skin is and the aggressiveness of the treatment. I don't find your photos outside of what is to be expected during recovery. Good luck with your continued recovery.
Following a Fraxel treatment it is normal for the face to be red and swollen for 3-4 days. The area may then appear "bronzed" and flake for another 3-5 days. The entire healing process takes 7-10 days depending on how sensitive your skin is and how aggressive your Fraxel treatment was.Ice packs are great for comfort the first day or two following the treatment. It is important to use a bland, light moisturizer and sunscreen (SPF 40 or higher) during the recovery period. Benadryl can be helpful for itching. Good luck!
Thank you for your question. You have typical swelling and redness from Fraxel laser, but make sure everyday is healing a little better. The squares look like a topical grid pattern that your doctor followed during the procedure. I have never used a grid during treatment. If your concerned, I would recommend you follow up with your doctor. Best of luck, Dr. Heffernan
Thank you for your question. It is important for you to consult with your provider about any questions or concerns you may have because they are your best resource.Following a Fraxel treatment it is normal for the face to be red, feel tight, and have mild swelling for 2-5 days depending on the setting used during your treatment .The area may appear bronzed and start flaking for another 3-5 days depending on your type of skin. Judging from your photos, your healing appears to be on track . The entire healing process may take up to 10 days . Ice packs can provide great relief for the first few days following your treatment . It is very important to use a moisturizer that won't clog pores such as Cetaphil for the first 7-10 days after your treatment . You can return to your normal skin care regimen upon the completion of peeling . As always sunscreen with a SPF of 45 should be a normal part of your skin care regimen and very important following any type of laser.Best of luck in your endeavors!James Fernau, MD, FACS Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, ENT, Member of ASPS,ASAPS, ISAPS, The Rhinoplasty Society, AAFPRS,OTO/HNSASLMS, International Federation for Adipode Therapeutics & Science

No, this look normal at day 3- just as long as its not painful and each day brings more improvement. If in doubt your specialist will take swabs or place you on antihistamines and or short course of steroids. All the best, Dr Davin S. Lim. Brisbane. Australia.
