Fraxel Re:Store or Dual can rejuvenate the skin on the hands, resolving hyperpigmentation and creating more volume by stimulating the production of elastin and collagen. In the hands of an expert, there really are no risks except transitory side effects such as red skin for a few days. You will probably need three treatments, and then touch ups every year or two. Another great way to make your hands look younger is to fill in lost volume with the dermal filler Radiesse. Radiesse can last a year or more. Be sure to consult a board-certified dermatologist who is an expert with lasers and fillers to help you.
Fraxel restore is a good laser for hands. I treat my patient's hands most of the time when addressing their overall concerns for skin rejuvenation. of note is the fact that the skin on the hands is generally thinner and has pigment changes in addition to skin laxity and volume loss. Fraxel laser alone cannot address all concerns.
Yes you can have amazing results with fraxel dual reduce the appearance of sun spots and improve skin texture on the face, hands, etc. Please see an experienced physician to discuss your options. Good luck with your treatment
Fraxel Dual is a grest device for aging hands since it stimulates collagen production to plump the skin and also removes dark spots. it is important to see a dermatologist because of the important differences between facial skin and the skin on the hands. The settings are very different.
Thank you for posting this question. Like all procedures, the safety of any treatment lies partly with the treatment itself and partly with how it is performed. There is no question that Fraxel can be effective at improving the pigmentation and texture of the skin of the hands, but since Fraxel is a laser, careful understanding of how to use it safely depends on having a well trained and experienced doctor perform the treatment. Do your homework and you are likely to have a good result.
For extra facial skin, a low density laser is best as it takes longer for these areas to heal. If conducted properly this is a low risk procedure - your specialist will discuss risks such as delayed healing, redness that is prolonged, demarkation, infection etc....all risks that pertain to laser resurfacing. Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong...
Both are fractional lasers. Each Doctor will have their preferred laser. Melasma needs a combination approach to get the best improvement and will need a series of treatments. In our practice, we combine Clear + brilliant, peels, microneedling/PRP, aerolase, Cosmelan, and sometimes erbium laser...
One thing that has been stated below is that Lupus is exacerbated by UV light that the fraxel laser may exacerbate. I would recommend trying other options that are not likely to worsen the lupus like micro-needling, subcision, or fillers to the area of question. I would suggest seeing a...
