Sculpsure is a noninvasive 1060nm diode laser treatment that removes up to 25% of stubborn fat in the treated area in 25 minutes. It is FDA approved for the abdomen and flanks. It is safe if you get pregnant in the future. The body contouring effects are seen in as quick as six weeks with final results at 12 weeks. The results are permanent as long as you maintain your weight and health. The laser targets and destroys the fat cells only which are then naturally removed from the body. Since the laser does not affect the skin or muscle it can be used on all skin colors and there has been no reported incidents of burns when treated by a properly trained physician. It is protective since it alternates heating and cooling. It has four applicators that can be customized to treat the areas of stubborn fat. If a second treatment is needed we wait at least six weeks and usually closer to 12. There is no downtime and you can resume your normal activities right after the treatment. There may be some soreness in the area for a few days for which you can take ibuprofen or tylenol. A cold compress can also be used.Sculpsure is not used for skin tightening however some of her patients have seen this. If more skin tightening is needed we have combined this with thermi or Ulthera for a complete treatment. Sculpsure is recommended for stubborn areas of fat that are not being lost by diet and exercise. It is not a weight loss treatmentSince I have both a coolsculpting and sculpsure I am working on protocols of utilizing both of these depending upon what areas need to be treated and the response to the treatment. I have used sculpsure on other areas other than the abdomen with very good results. I also use a Vectra 3D imaging system to try and show people what their treatment areas could look like.Since Sculpsure outcomes can be based on technique and experience, please see a board certified plastic surgeon that specializes body contouring to see if Sculpsure or other treatments are available to meet your goals. Thank you for your question.I recently had my own love handles treated as off label use of Sculpsure. SculpSure is currently FDA approved to treat the abdomen and flanks but can be used as off label on other parts of the body. You should expect about a 20-25% decrease in the amount of the fat in the outer thighs.Good luck
Thank you for your question, lj2. SculpSure is FDA-approved for the tummy and flanks at this time, however many surgeons and physicians are beginning to treat the outer thighs as they have become more comfortable with the procedure. For that reason, it is very important that you visit an experienced board certified plastic surgeon for your treatment. Best wishes,
Hi and thank you for your question! It's best to schedule a one on one consultation with your surgeon to better evaluate these areas. The SculpSure is currently only FDA approved for the abdominal area and flanks however thighs have also been known to be treated. Good luck!
SculpSure can be used to treat the outer thighs, but currently, this is considered an off-label area to treat. At present, SculpSure is FDA-approved to treat the abdomen and the flanks. Outer thighs are a common problem area, and we have treated this area in women effectively. A single treatment session normally will destroy about 20-25% of the fat cells in the treatment area.
SculpSure is an effective treatment option for non-surgical fat sculpting of the inner and outer thighs.
Treating your outer thighs with SculpSure can be an extremely effective non-surgical method for eliminating stubborn pockets of fat. It isn't FDA approved for this area so using it there is considered "off label" but I have had good results treating the outer thighs with SculpSure. Schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss. Best of luck.
SculpSure is very effective for treating the outer thighs. The key to success is in patient selection. If your outer thighs are dramatically disproportionate to the rest of your torso, liposuction may be a consideration. If, however, the amount of excess fat in this area is mild to moderate, SculpSure done in a series of 3-4 applications at three week intervals may be an effective non-invasive way to deal with the problem.
Yes, SculpSure can be used on the outer thighs. In consultation you can determine the right amount of applicators that would be needed per thigh. The SculpSure laser permanently destroys fat cells using heat, and loss of fat is seen quickly within 6 weeks with full results seen at 12 weeks. This is the time it takes for the body to absorb and eliminate the destroyed fat cells. Many patients need just one treatment to get their desired results. 2 to 3 treatments maybe needed if further fat reduction is desired.
Sculpsure laser fat reduction can be used in any area of unwanted fat, but this decision should be carefully made with an experienced physician. It is technically only FDA approved for belly and love handles, but legally doctors can apply it to other areas of the body. Discuss pros and cons of each treatment area with your SculpSure physician and understand that more than one session may be needed to achieve desired results. Good luck!
It is definitely safe to have SculpSure after CoolSculpting provided that you wait at least a minimum of 6 weeks or more to treat the SAME area. You can treat DIFFERENT area almost immediately. If it has been 2 months, you should be safe to have an additional treatment....
SculpSure does not pose any risk to fertility due to the fact the ovaries lie deep in the abdominal cavity. SculpSure is targeting unwanted fat cells and cannot penetrate deep enough to impact any of your organs.
You would not want to place the panels over the hernia. This runs the risk of exposing any abdominal organs that may peeking through the distended muscle to the laser. But you could treat around the hernia. See a board certified plastic surgeon to be examined in person and discuss.
