Hi Philosophical478442. Thank you for your question regarding "can I combine a lower body lift with Sculptra to add fullness?" The short answer is "yes, you can add Sculptra to add fullness to the buttocks during a lower body lift". There are multiple ways to add fullness to the buttocks during and after a lower bodylift. During a lower bodylift, fat transfer or Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) can be performed. Alternatively, a dermal or propeller flap can be created. A propeller flap uses your own skin and fat and twists or turns them down (like a propeller) into the buttock to create more buttock volume. Another way to create buttock volume is to insert a buttock implant. Finally , Sculptra can be injected. Sculptra buttock augmentation can be performed during or after the lower bodylift. You will need several sessions of Sculptra to obtain the best results. One of the benefits of Sculptra is that Sculptra can be injected in the office with local anesthesia. Sculptra injections can be performed every 6 to 8 weeks or more as needed. I hope that i have answered your questions regarding "can I combine a lower body lift with Sculptra to add fullness?". Good luck. Sincerely, Dr. J. Timothy Katzen, MD.
Sculptra is meant to be used in the face for mild volume changes. With a lower body lift, there is ample fat available to do shaping of the buttocks. The fat transfers will provide more volume and last a greater period of time.Hope this helps.
Sculptra will not be sufficient in volume or quality to make a difference in buttock contour after a lower body lift. The best means for improving contour is fat grafting.
Dear Philosophical478442,I understand your concern. It is best however that you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to determine whether you can have several aesthetic procedures in one session, as this would depend on various factors including but not limited to your general health condition, the type of anesthesia that will be used, and the type of surgeries that will be performed among others.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
I encourage you to speak with your surgeon about your concerns. Sculptra can be used for subtle buttock enhancements, but often takes multiple treatments. Speak to your surgeon to see if this is the best option for you based on your surgical goals.
Most people find the use of sculpture cost prohibitive for body contouring. If you have concerns about your upcoming procedure, I suggest you address those to your provider. If you haven’t selected a provider, I suggest scheduling multiple in person consultation with plastic surgeons in your community.Best,Mats Hagstrom, MD.
Combining a lower body lift with Sculptra for added fullness is a possibility, but it’s crucial to discuss this with your plastic surgeon. Lower body lift procedures typically involve removing excess skin and tightening the remaining tissues to improve the contour of the lower body. Sculptra, on the other hand, is a dermal filler commonly used to stimulate collagen production and add volume. Here are some considerations: 1. Consultation: Consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon to discuss your goals, assess your anatomy, and determine the feasibility of combining these procedures. 2. Timing: The timing of each procedure is important. Your plastic surgeon will guide you on the appropriate sequence to achieve optimal results and ensure a safe recovery. 3. Expectations: Understand the realistic expectations and potential outcomes of combining these procedures. Sculptra may require multiple sessions for gradual results. 4. Safety: Combining surgical and non-surgical procedures may pose additional considerations for safety. Your plastic surgeon will assess your overall health and provide guidance on managing any potential risks. Always choose a skilled and experienced plastic surgeon who can tailor a treatment plan to your specific needs and ensure your safety throughout the process.
