I am 4 weeks and 2 days out from my surgery date and I have these odd bumps and marks. I also have a lot Of swelling where it looks like I still Have my double chin... is this normal?
Answer: #RevisionSurgeries this looks like there are bands and nodules due to scarring from either BodyTite or Im not sure maybe the liposuction itself. I specialize in Revision Surgeries. i see these complications mostly when patients were treated with heat-based devices such as SmartLipo, BodyTite, and even with VASER. Im not sure what your surgeon says but best is to get in touch with them and see what they can do. I am not sure if this will resolve on its own.

Answer: Skin tightening for the with FaceTite / Renuvion /J Plasma RF Thank you for your question. With FaceTite treatment, the radio frequency energy translated to heat. By heating the tissue, we get skin tightening and fat reduction. There are some complications which can occur from over-heating the area, and typically it will appear as a small hardened lesion or nodule. In-person assessment would be best to evaluate this, but typically these areas improve with treatments which shrink the lesion and resolve over time. Best Dr. Emer

Follow up with your board-certified plastic surgeon for evaluation and recommendations. Good luck.

Answer: Bumps after liposuction Thanks for the question, bodytite uses radio frequency to tighten the skin, it gets really hot so while it works well it can cause more scarring, it does not look like a burn it looks like some internal scar tissue. I would suggest using external radio frequency on the venus legacy platform to smooth this out, alternatively you could have lymphatic massage as well

The bodytite technique produces heat to tighten the skin, but may also add to the internal scars like what it appears you may be experiencing. You should follow up often with your surgeon for their input once examining you.Best of luck with your continued healing.Dr T
