I’m hoping to go to turkey to have a revision rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, and liposuction, and I’m wondering if it’s safe to combine the procedures? The places I’ve been looking at say it’s fine, but I wanted to get another opinion. I had my first rhinoplasty in Australia, but wasn’t happy with the result, so I didn’t want to go back to the same surgeon. I’m just a little worried about the potential complications, but I’d prefer to have them combined. What do you think?
Answer: It depends how complicated your revision rhinoplasty is. Without seeing photos, it is difficult to comment. In our practice, we focus exclusively on nasal surgery and facial plastic surgery, and we do not offer body surgery. if your surgeon is capable of making a minimal adjustment to your nose, that may be reasonable, however, a more difficult revision rhinoplasty surgery procedure could take 3 hours or longer. Wishing you all moving forward. Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Answer: Combining 3 different plastic surgeries! Thanks TaianaDuncan for your question! A number of variables determine whether rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, and liposuction may be safely combined in a single treatment, including: Your general well-being: The surgeon will make a choice based on your medical history, general health, and any underlying disorders. The complexity of each procedure: The extent of each procedure and the anticipated recovery time will be considered. Expertise of your surgeon: A skilled and knowledgeable plastic surgeon can evaluate your particular situation and choose the most secure course of action. Combining operations can have some benefits, including shorter recovery times and shorter hospital stays, but it's important to carefully balance the risks and rewards. Possible Hazards of Combining Techniques: Increased risk of problems: The risk of complications such as infection, hemorrhage, and unpleasant responses is increased by longer surgical times and more intensive anesthesia. Prolonged recovery: While the initial hospital stay might be shorter, the overall recovery period can be longer and more demanding. Increased expenses: Surgery, anesthesia, and post-operative care are sometimes more expensive when treatments are combined. Speaking with a skilled plastic surgeon about your unique objectives and worries is essential. They can offer tailored guidance and assist you in making well-informed choices on your surgical strategy. Although Turkey provides reasonably priced choices for cosmetic surgery, choose a trustworthy specialist with a solid reputation is crucial. A safe and effective conclusion depends on meticulous planning and in-depth investigation. I have some skilled friends who are plastic surgeon in Turkey, but we have seen so many botched surgeries from that country. As a triple Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon and experienced rhinoplasty surgeon, I specialize in revision rhinoplasty. Answer: Revision rhinoplasty and other procedures Hello and thank you for your question. If you are in good health and able to obtain medical clearance from your primary doctor, it may be safe to combine these procedures together. However, you really need to make sure you are going to a safe place for surgery. In regards to revision rhinoplasty you also need to carefully research your surgeon. Here is some general advice when considering surgeon selection. I highly recommend that my patients focus much more on real longterm before and after photographs rather than 3D imaging. I encounter so many patients in my practice who see me for revision rhinoplasty who previously had surgery elsewhere who feel like they were mislead into surgery by surgeons who relied heavily on 3D imaging without adequate real before and after pictures to back it up. Photoshop is easy but real surgery is very different. I always recommend that you carefully evaluate your surgeon’s online before and after gallery on their website for both quality and quantity of results. Make sure that there are hundreds of real before and after pictures which demonstrate long-term follow up results. If your surgeon is posting mostly on table results without real long-term follow up results, that is usually a major red flag. If a surgeon is posting mostly just splint removal day videos without longterm follow-up pictures, that can also be a red flag. Long-term results are much more meaningful than on table results or 1 week post-op results. Selfie’s can also be fun to look at, but these can often have a filter and do not represent true longterm results because of this and are not as valuable as real longterm in-office before and after photographs on your surgeon’s website. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Answer: Combining revision rhinoplasty breast augmentation, and liposuction Revision rhinoplasty is the most difficult operation to perform correctly in the entire field of cosmetic surgery, so your really gonna be best off seeing a US based rhinoplasty specialist for that issue which is going to include the surgery itself plus all the additional follow up treatments if needed. You won't have any follow up if you're going to another country. The other questions you're going to need to ask if you're gonna go to a developing country is how long is the anesthesia gonna take, and who is putting you to sleep under anesthesia,, and is there some certification for the surgery center where the procedure is being formed performed?
