Thank you for your question. There is no firm contraindication to combining breast implant surgery and rhinoplasty. When you have rhinoplasty surgery, even with antibiotic treatment there is an increased amount of bacteria circulating in the bloodstream for a period of time. In principle, they can also aggregate around the breast implant. Because the risk of capsular contracture and ALCL is associated to some degree also with bacteria on the surface of the implant, there is at least a theoretical risk of increased complications. It is not a scientifically proven risk but rather a point to discuss with your surgeon. The advantages of combining the procedures are based on recovery time, reduced down time, costs. Your surgeon may have experience combining these interventions and could be able to provide more inside.
