I am beyond grateful for the treatment I received from Dr. Korkos. - Brest Implants - BBL - Body an Neck Liposuction - Facial Fat Transfer - Lesion Removal He is friendly, professional, very detailed, and really listens to your requests. My consultation answered all of my questions, my surgery was very welcoming and went perfectly. My postop care has been absolutely phenomenal. I’m very very pleased and would highly recommend Dr. Korkos for any of your surgical needs.
Fillers seemed painful & like a waste of money since you have to have it done on a regular basis to achieve the look you'd like. Aside from that, most fillers (to me) look over done. They just weren't an option to me. A friend of mine had this procedure with a doctor in Chicago. Her results were great so I decided to stop just researching the topic & actually get the ball rolling. If anyone at all is going to come at my face with something sharp, it's going to be Tom Korkos. My friend could've had the most stunning results from her Chicago surgeon but I would've still gone to Korkos. I would've paid double what she paid to have it done by Korkos. Why? Because he is the best there is. His staff is also wonderfully warm, they go above & beyond to give you the experience you deserve. The fact that Korkos is only a 45 minute drive from me made it a no-brainer. I opted to go with a local anesthetic. We took measurements, Korkos made the markings. The numbing process was the worst part. I have 2 small purple bruises on either side of my face but I bruise very easily. It is day 2 post op & I have only taken ibuprofen for pain. I took an oxycodone before bed last night thinking I'd definitely need another in the morning. Not the case at all! I feel absolutely great! If it weren't for the purple marker (from where my face was marked) you wouldn't even be able to tell anything was done! I can already see results & I will be thrilled to see how I look in a few months from now! I'll be sure to come back & post another photo at that time!
I am extremely happy with my results from Dr. Korkos!!! My surgery went so smooth, they kept me informed on everything that was happening leading up to my surgery all the way till I was past out and ready! The nurses are extremely nice and helpful! Dr. Korkos and his team helped me figure out what I wanted since I'm very indecisive, they have your best interest at heart and I trusted them 100%. I'm extremely happy with the size and look, I feel like this is what my body was meant to look like and I have Dr. Korkos and his team to thank for that!!
I never really been overweight expect when I was pregnant. I had my 1st daughter 15 years ago and I went from 130lbs to 196lbs. I lost all the baby weight but my arms wasn't the same. After I had my 2nd child 5 years ago my arm got even worst. I went for my consultation 2/4/ 16 and I taught I could get away with liposuction but my surgeon told me that I have too much lose skin so I would need a arm lift. I'm also having liposuction of my back. Updated on 7 Feb 2016: Before pictures Updated on 8 Feb 2016: I'm kinda nervous about my up coming surgery and I really don't have any one to talk to about my surgery because my family don't believe in plastic surgery. I turned to realself but I'm getting no support how sad. Updated on 15 Feb 2016: My surgery is on Friday the 19th and I can't wait. I'm nervous and excited at the same time. I'm kinda afraid of the pain after surgery but I have pain pills so I will be alright. A big thanks to everyone on here for their words of encouragement and support. Super Nervous and I haven't gone shopping or cleaning yet but soon. Is drains required for arm lift? Updated on 19 Feb 2016: I'm so excited and nervous at the same time. I just got my IV put in and I'm ready to roll. Goodbye bat wing. Can't say it was nice knowing you. Say a prayer for me everyone. Thanks again for the support. Updated on 20 Feb 2016: I'm one day post opt today and still tired sleeping on and off. I'm not in alot of pain as I taught I would be. The liposuction of my back hurts more than my arms. I have 2 drains and they're barely draining fluids. I haven't seen my arms yet because they are wrapped in ace bandages. Monday when I go to the doctor I should get a chance to see plus that's when they're going to put on my compression garmet. Pictures coming soon. Updated on 22 Feb 2016: I went to my doctor today and got my Drains taken out. Saw my arms for the first time and even though I'm very swollen I'm still very happy. I stop talking my pill since yesterday because I don't need them. I'm not in any pain. I took my girls to school this morning and I also drove myself to my post opt appointment. Updated on 22 Feb 2016: It really feel so good to be able to take a shower. I actually feel clean and I got to see more of my arms. I'm definitely loving what I'm seeing. Updated on 22 Feb 2016: Even though I'm only 3 days post opt I need the difference. Updated on 25 Feb 2016: I'm one day shy of a week post opt and my arms feel swollen and tight. I wonder if this is normal? When does the swelling start to subside? I love my arms but don't like the tight feeling. The steri strips are slowly starting to come off on my left hand so I can see a little of my scar in my armpit. Updated on 28 Feb 2016: It's been 9 days since I had my surgery and I'm very happy with my arms. They still tight and swollen but I love what I see so far. I guess after all the swelling is gone byou arms are going to look even more sexy lol. Updated on 3 Mar 2016: I went to my doctor today for my 2 weeks post opt appointment and I'm very happy with my arms. The nurse took off all the steri strips and I can start scar therapy in a week. I bought some silicone strips from my doctors office. He said I can stary wearing compression shirt now but still take it easy for a month. My scars are healing well. Updated on 3 Mar 2016: Has anyone ever use this and how well did it work? Updated on 4 Mar 2016: I'm a picture freak so I decided to take a pic after my shower. I tried on one of my summer dress from last year and I love the way my arms look in this dress. I see that the swelling is going down especially where my Drains were. That part was super swollen. I can't wait to see what my arms will look like 2 months from now. As soon as I can exercise I'm going back to the gym. Can't wait to do some weight training. Gotta keep my arms tone and sexy lol. Updated on 7 Mar 2016: I'm 19 days post opt and I'm feeling pretty good. The weather was nice today so I went for a little walk. One time in the morning and the other in the evening with my 5 years old. I noticed that my left arm is healing quicker than my right arm. I can raise my Left arm with hardly any pain but that's not the case for my right arm. It still feel tight and pulling when I reach over my head. Otherwise I'm doing pretty good. Can't wait to stop wearing this compression garment. I bought a compression shirt from the store but it wasn't giving me much compression so I stop wearing it and went back to my garment. I ordered a compression garment which is much better than what I'm wearing now. Updated on 7 Mar 2016: More pictures Updated on 12 Mar 2016: I wasn't going to post any more pictures until 6 weeks update but I was trying on this outfit I bought and I just look my arms so much so, I taught I would share my pictures. I'm 3 weeks post opt and I'm loving my new arms. They just keep getting better and better! I'm so glad I did this despite not support from my family. I started wearing the steri strips almost a week ago. Updated on 17 Mar 2016: Tomorrow will make 4 weeks since I had my surgery and I'm loving what I see. I bought this dress a week after my surgery but I couldn't try it on until now. I just tried it on and I love what I see so I had to share. Anyway who is thinking about getting plastic surgery even if your family is not being supportive don't let that stop me. This surgery boosted my self esteem even more. Updated on 21 Mar 2016: For some reason I always seem to take pictures after my shower. Anyway I just wanted to show you guys my scar at 4 weeks 3 days VS 19 days. The notice that the swelling is going down and I'm happy about that. Updated on 26 Mar 2016: Well today is my birthday and I wore sleeveless today and was very happy. Still have more healing to do but I'm happy so far. Updated on 30 Mar 2016: I'm almost 6 weeks post opt and I'm doing pretty good. I to the gym today and I did spin class. After spin class I walked on the treadmill for 15 mins, and did some ab work. I did wear my compression sleeves. I'm gonna start officially going back to the gym next week. I wonder if I have to still elevate my arms at night since it's almost 6 weeks. Updated on 2 Apr 2016: I'm 6 weeks post opt since yesterday and so far I'm happy with my results. I went to my mothers pastor wife funeral today. I must say I felt pretty and look pretty. Updated on 16 Apr 2016: I'm officially two months post opt and I'm still happy. I notice that my scars are starting to keloid and I'm not happy about that. I never had a problem with keloids before. Anyway my surgeon gave me so ace bandages and told me to continue wearing the silicone strips and wrap my arms at night with the ace bandages. He going in inject my scars with cortisone injection to get rid of the keloids. Has this ever happened to anyone? If so what was it like? Updated on 25 Apr 2016: It's been 2 months and 2 weeks since I had my surgery and I'm definitely a happy camper. The sky is the limit with my clothes. My arms look so much better in sleeveless. I really didnt think or knew that my arms was that big/fat until I compare a before and after pic. I'm not going to do another review until 4 or 6 months mark. Updated on 14 May 2016: I'm healing pretty nicely and all sleeveless this summer. Even though it's still cold here. Can't believe it's spring and the weather was only 45° today. Updated on 29 Sep 2016: It's been 7 months since I had my surgery and I'm still very happy. I did end up getting some keloid on my scar but my surgeon gave me 2 rounds of corticosteroids shots. My scars are starting to flat out now, which is good. I'm definitely going to tattoo over my scars
After suffering from lower back & neck pain for over 20 years, I decided to have breast reduction surgery. Prior to the procedure I went for physical therapy tried various exercise to relief the pain but nothing helped long term. After careful consideration I decided to have a breast reduction to help eliminate the constant back problems.
I was involved in a car crash where the airbag deployed and ended up putting a big bump into my nose. (I fondly refer to it as my Jew bump.) Dr. Korkos spent a lot of time with me explaining the procedure itself, recovery, the insurance process, etc. He was kind, gentle, down to earth, had a great sense of humor, really LISTENED, and above all-- he CARED. His staff took photos during the initial appointment and I was on my way. It was now a waiting game. My health insurance company denied the surgery, of course, stating it was cosmetic, ignoring the fact it was a disfigurement after an auto crash. Korkos' office called to explain that the doctor was going to arrange a meeting to fight to have my procedure covered. Not even a week later, my insurance company called me directly to inform me that I was approved! I don't know what this man said to the insurance company, but he is a genius! The morning of my surgery, he came in to see how I was doing and explain things one more time. He held my hand, looked me right in the eyes, and I knew I was in the hands of a good man. When I woke up, I was confused. I had packing in my nostrils. They sent me home with a ton of pain medicine. I pretty much slept the next couple days. Of the 50 Percocet they gave me, I only took 2. The most uncomfortable part of the entire surgery or procedure was when the packing was removed a few days post surgery. I got light headed but it passed within moments. Another reason I love Korkos? During my initial appointment, I told him that I loved my nose, I wanted to keep the same pointy basic shape, but to remove the Jew bump. I referred to it as "wanting a little scoop." During my follow-up months later, when he looked at me, his words were exactly, "you have a great little scoop." :) :) It just made me smile and love this man that much more! I am seeing him in a couple weeks for a Lipo/tummy tuck consoltation. I also plan on a brow lift one day. I am so excited to see him! Totally unrelated note: I stretched my ears as a teen. I asked several doctors & dermatologists who I could see to have them seen. Their answer? Tom Korkos. If you are in Wisconsin and considering surgery, see this man. The only "bad" thing anyone could ever mention are the wait times for the appointment. The staff is incredibly accommodating and friendly. I schedule my appointments on a lunch break during work. There have been a couple times I have waited a bit. But you know what? It's because Korkos spends quality time with each patient, doesn't rush, or leave until the patient is comfortable and satisfied. Waiting a few extra minutes to ensure QUALITY care is NEVER a negative in my book. Hands down the best surgeon. I've met with many others in the Chicago/Milwauker region and he is the only one I will ever consider. Now look how cute my scoop is sans Jew bump!
I had a tummy tuck 2 years ago and even though I gained a little weight and still happy with my results. I never really had a weight problem until I had my 1st daughter almost 14 years ago. I did manage to lose the weight but my body still wasn't the same. I even got a personal trainer and I did see some results but not my legs. Before I went for my consultation I taught that I needed a thigh lift but last Thursday after seeing my ps he said that a circumferential liposuction of my thighs would make a significant difference. Plus liposuction of my abdomen and flanks also. I'm truly excited and can't wait for my surgery. Updated on 31 Jan 2015: I have my pre opt appointment February 9 at 9:30am and I'm super excited. I'm closer to completing my make over and I can't wait. Updated on 3 Feb 2015: My surgeon's office called yesterday to change the time of my surgery from Febuary 18, 8oclock to 1oclock. To be honest I'm not very happy about the time because I'm going to be hungry all day and I don't want a tired doctor working on me. I'm wondering if I should go to spin class that morning before surgery. Have anyone time change for a later time for surgery and how did you feel about it? Updated on 4 Feb 2015: Trying to get some good before pictures but not having much luck. Updated on 9 Feb 2015: I had my pre opt appointment this morning with the nurse and I'm excited but nervous. She took my measurement for my garment, signed a few consent forms and did my blood work. She almost gave me a prescription for my pain meds and antibiotics. I asked her what to expect and she said it wasn't as bad as a tummy tuck which I had a few years ago. I'm definetly ready for next week Wednesday. Updated on 17 Feb 2015: My big day is tomorrow and right now I'm super from all this running around trying to do last minute things. I got a lot of Gatorade like I was told to get and I also got coconut water to drink after my surgery. I still have a lot to do but right now I'm going to take a nap. Updated on 19 Feb 2015: Yesterday was something else. My surgery was suppose to be at 1 but it didn't happen until after 2. When I got to the office 12oclock my surgeon was still in surgery with someone else. Anyway after waiting for awhile the nurse took me back and got me set up for surgery. My ps came in and mark me up and away I went. I woke up in pain especially right below my butt. The nurse gave me something for pain and I went back to sleep. When I woke up again the nurse told me that the doctor is going come in and talk to me because he only did the back and not the front. I was wondering why did he do that, but when my ps came in the room he explained to me that he took out a lot of fat in my flanks, back of the thigh and inner tights. He told me how much he took out but I don't remember. He told me I had a lot of fat. Anyway I have to go back in 2 to 3 weeks for the front. Liposuction is not back as a tummy tuck but it still hurts. To make matters worse I'm having my period. My back and legs feel me with a baseball bat. It doesn't really too much when I'm laying down but getting up hurts really bad. Once I'm up and walking I feel much better and it doesn't hurt too bad. The more I walk the less it hurts. I do feel very stiff especially when I get up. Going to the bathroom is not nice cause I keep peeing on my garment. Otherwise I'm hanging in there. Still feeling nauseous. Updated on 20 Feb 2015: I drove myself to my 2 days post opt appointment. I didn't have all the drainage on my sheet that other people talk about on her. The nurse did change my dressing which wasn't too bad. I did get a chance to look at the back of my legs and lower back. I'm swollen but I like what I see so far. I'm suppose to be having the front of my legs and abdomen done in 2 to 3 weeks. Can't wait for the final result. I can take a shower now but I will wait until tmrrw. I will see if I can get a few pics then. Updated on 21 Feb 2015: Today I'm 3 day post opt and I'm not feeling too bad. I even took a shower today with no problems. Updated on 21 Feb 2015: I must say the healing process is not going too bad. I'm down to one pain pill a day and taking my antibiotics 4 times a day. I do have a little discomfort when I lay on my side/flanks but it's bearable. I haven't had a bm yet since surgery but I hope it happens soon. I went to Walmart earlier with my niece to get some more Gatorade fruits and a salad. I realize that the more I walk the better I feel. Updated on 26 Feb 2015: Today makes 8 days since my surgery and I'm not doing too bad. The last few days haven't been too bad except for when I sit for a while and have to get up. At first it hurts to walk. My skin itch so much where I had liposuction. I guess I must be healing. I stop taking pain pills 3 days after surgery cause I don't really need it. I have a little discomfort here and there but nothing that require pain meds. My compression garment is the worst. It doesn't come all the way down to my knees so I'm using a ace bandage that the nurse gave me. I can't wait to get my own garment. This ace bandage is very uncomfortable especially behind my knees. Updated on 4 Mar 2015: Today's makes 2 weeks since my surgery and I'm starting to feel like myself again. I went to my Ps Monday for my 10 day appointment. He said I'm pretty swollen still but coming along nicely. I'm scheduled the 1st of April for the 2nd part of my surgery. I can't wait to get it over with. My Ps said he removed 3800cc of fat from my flanks and back of my legs. Thank God I no longer have to wear that compression garment and I'm now in Spanx. At 2 weeks I'm definitely starting to feel like myself again. I wonder when can I start going back to the gym. Updated on 7 Mar 2015: Trying on some clothes for my birthday the end of this month. I'm still very swollen but I love the way I look so far. Updated on 7 Mar 2015: I wonder what I'm going to look like after my ps liposuction the front of my thighs and abdomen. I'm going to need new clothes. Updated on 10 Mar 2015: I'm very happy with my results so far. I have definitely slim down. Can't wait for my abdomen and front of my legs to be done. Updated on 2 Apr 2015: I'm 6 weeks post opt flanks and back of my thighs. Yesterday I did the second part of my surgery. I'm not in a lot of pain but I'm soar especially when I get up to walk. My abdomen inner and front of my tights was liposuction. When I came home after surgery I wasn't in a lot of pain. Maybe because I knew what to expect. I noticed I was leaking fluids on my leg thigh yesterday. Anyway I'm not doing or feeling too bad. Tomorrow I go back to my doctor. Updated on 10 Apr 2015: Today makes 1 week and two days since I did the 2nd part of my surgery. It seems like the front part of my legs hurt worse than the back. My stomach doesn't hurt at all which is good. I can't wait for the swelling to go away completely. Updated on 26 Apr 2015: It's almost 4 weeks since I had the 2nd part of my surgery and I'm very satisfied. I'm so glad I had the surgery. People are saying I'm skinny. One in years. Updated on 17 May 2015: People keep telling me that I lost a lot of weight but I can't see it. Something must be wrong with my eyes. My niece made me this collage to show me the difference. I'm still very happy I had surgery. Best decision ever. Updated on 15 Jun 2015: It's been it's been almost 4 months since I have surgery and I'm very happy. Its been three months since I had a breast reduction, and I'm am more than pleased with the results. I still don't like the size of my stomach so I'm more than ready for the next step in my transformation which is a tummy tuck in the next couple months. I'm 32 years old with two children 11 and 1 yrs old. I had a c-section 11years ago and a Vbac one year ago.I gained alot of weight with both pregnancies. I went from 140lbs to 197lbs. I know i will have to get something for constipation. Updated on 10 Feb 2012: Due to circumstances I had to change my date to one week later. I waited so long for a tummy tuck or one week wont kill me. Updated on 21 Feb 2012: Tomorrow is my big day and I'm not even nervous. Just alittle excited. I'm so tired from doing alot of running around. I think am gonna go bed early. Updated on 27 Feb 2012: Omg a tummy tuck is no walk in the part. It hurts alot when I get up or sit down. I have been sleeping in my bed with alot of pillows since I came home, because I find the bed to be more comfortable than the recliner. What hurts the most is the muscle repair. I was told that I had alot of extra skin and my muscles was very lose. Otherwise I'm doing OK. Sleeping alot. Updated on 29 Feb 2012: Today I'm 3 days post opt and I'm not feeling too bad. I noticed that since I had the surgery I can't eat much, because I get full quick. Otherwise I'm doing very good. I just want to say that everyone tolerate pain differently, and we all heal at our own speed. Happy healing to all my tummy Tucker's. Updated on 8 Mar 2012: Today I'm a week and a half and "swell hell" has gotten a hold of me. I'm not doing bad but I'm very swollen. I'm walking straight and I'm also able to take shower with no problems. Updated on 12 Mar 2012: Today I'm two weeks post opt and I'm not doing too bad. My doctor also prescribed stronger antibiotics for me to take for the next ten days. I hope that helps. Updated on 26 Mar 2012: Tomorrow I will be one month post opt. I still have a lot of swelling but I'm very happy I had my surgery. I still had some stretch mark but two days ago I notice that they don't look too bad. Updated on 2 Apr 2012: Today I'm exactly 5 weeks post opt and I'm feeling pretty good. I went to my doctor today and he said I no longer have to wear my binder. I can start wearing a spanks. Updated on 25 Apr 2012: Thanks everyone for the kind words. I was frustrated with the swelling about I feel better now. My belly button just healed completely. I was beginning to wonder if my love handles were just fat or swelling. I know that when I first had the surgery i didn't have any love handles, so it must be swelling. I had a breast reduction almost 6 weeks ago and that's one the best decision I have ever made for myself. I am very happy with my results. I didn't pay anything because my insurance paid for it. I went from a 44DD to a 36C. I no longer have any shoulder, neck, or back pain. The only cons I have about my surgery is that my belly looks big now that the breasts are gone. I am seriously thinking about having a tummy tuck early next year. Updated on 30 Dec 2011: Its been three months since i had a breast reduction, and I'm am more than pleased with the results. I still don't like the size of my stomach so I'm more than ready for the next step in my transformation which is a tummy tuck in the next couple months. I had 1 c-section 11years ago and a Vbac one year ago. I'm still have a pouch and stretch marks that i need to get rid of. Had tt, br, lipo to flanks and mons lift with lipo to that area as well. He had great bedside manners. I had some complications with my breast reduction which I believe was not anyone's fault. what I was disappointed in was his TT. After and during my follow up I expressed my dissapointment. I felt one side of my lower abdomen was buldging as well and my mons area looked like a "kengina" (he was suppose to lipo that area as well). He kept telling me it was just swelling. After my 1year post op Dr Korkos tells me that I need Lipo and would cost an additional 5k. SERIOUSLY! Not happy at all. I dont feel like he did any lipo at all to my flanks OR Mons area. Also had some upper abd buldging which I wasnt happy with. I wish He would of told me I would of had upper abd buldge. Just feel like he knew my expectations and they were not delivered. Especially with "kengina". So in the end I still cant wear fitting pants because of this problem which I expressed numerous times.
Hello! Generally speaking it is not uncommon to combine procedures such as these to be done at once. The concern I would have with combining all of what you are requesting is the time required under general anesthesia. This is a case that is going to take more than 8 hours and many anesthesiologists would advise against being anesthetized for that long. It may require being done at a hospital which increases both the cost and the risk of post surgical infection. I would consult with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon on the matter to discuss your options. Best of luck!Dr. Tom Korkos
Hello! All surgeons work at different paces. Some can do a mommy makeover in 5 hours, some will require more like 8 or 9 hours. Our board certified anesthesiologists prefer patients to stay under 6 hours of general anesthesia in an outpatient setting. They will push to 8 depending on patient health and surgical circumstances. Anything over that we will almost always need to be done in a hospital or require transfer to a hospital after for recovery. Best of luck!Dr. Tom Korkos
Hello! To echo what others have said, in order to have optimal results you are really going to want to lose about 50 pounds first. Surgery can technically be performed but I think you're really going to be unhappy with what you see for what you've spent. I would suggest a physician supervised weight loss program first that can help you to healthily lose the weight then come in for a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon. Best of luck! Hi Donna! It's hard to tell what you are referring to from your photo, which focuses more on the breasts than the abdomen. If skin laxity is the issue then I would agree with your latter surgeon, liposuction will generally not help to improve that. My best advice is to explain to your current surgeon exactly what you were hoping to see vs what you are currently seeing and ask him/her how to best address it. If he/she is completely unwilling to see it from your point of view then I would recommend consulting a second surgeon for a surgical opinion. Best of luck!Dr. Tom Korkos
Hello! The tests that we use generally go back 10 days. Your office may use different tests that can go back further. The best thing to do would be to contact your office, inform them, and ask them what to do. We are much more flexible if our patients are upfront and honest than if you try to deceive us. Best of luck!Dr. Tom Korkos
