Hello. Thank you for your question. You should be able to wash your face as normal about 24 hours post the procedure.thecosmeticsurgeon.com
After a PRP procedure we give to our patients a guide of post care instructions to follow. If you had your procedure boosted with Microneedling you can wash your face after 24 hours. If the PRP was just applied subdermal (injection) you can resume your routine skin care early after the procedure. You must always follow up with your practitioner to get clear information about your post care instructions. I hope it helps. Best, LM
Hi There Thank you for your question. I am a bit surprised at the poor quality of aftercare a lot of people who post on this site seem to receive. These are pretty basic things that should be covered. In any case the answer is that it's fine to wash with anything the day after as your skin should be completely back to normal.Kind Regards Dr Dinesh Maini Zenith Cosmetic Clinics
I find this procedure is great for rejuvenation but needs to be combined with lasers, fillers, Sculptra for collagen building or skin tightening to get the ultimate results. See an expert for a formal evaluation. Dr. Emer.
This shouldn't be a permanent issue. PIH takes at least 3 weeks to be evident. I haven't heard of any long term negative effects from this procedure. There are treatments for pigmentation in the future if needed.
Yes, topical PRP certainly does help. PRP placed topically after microneedling seeps deep into the skin to stimulate collagen production. If a patient has a particular area of concern during a treatment, I will also inject the PRP. Both methods are very effective.
