I had an upper blepharoplasty and now my eyelids look hollow. They are uneven and there’s too much eyelid showing. Also ptosis is there any thing I can do to repair this out and how long should I wait to get this done?
Answer: Hollow lids You can consider adding filler or fat grafting to improve hollow eyelids. You will want to wait at least three months before considering further surgery to allow for healing. Speak to your surgeon about your concerns.

Answer: Hollow, uneven eyelids after upper blepharoplasty - what can be done to target this and how long should I wait? Hello @marchgirl123, thank you for your question. It is important to remember that we aren't completely equal on both sides; there are always some differences that may or may not be noticeable. In general you need to wait 12 months after the first procedure to fully recover. In the process of undergoing surgery, it is important to consider what you expect and what you may achieve in the long term. To determine what the best course of action is, a personalized consultation is required, in which all aspects are considered. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS. Answer: Problems Post Upper Blepharoplasty I am sorry for your problems, but, thank you for your question as it is a great warning to others considering upper blepharoplasty of the extreme importance of selecting the right surgeon. The ptosis was almost certainly present before your surgery and should have been recognized and treated at the time of your surgery. One of the objects of upper blepharoplasty is to remove the excess skin, something you still have. When I was taught blepharoplasty in the dark ages, we were taught to remove the fat pads in the upper lid. Over time, we learned that removal of the fat actually aged the eyelid, so experts in upper blepharoplasty stopped removing the fat pads years ago. Whoever did yours removed at least some of your fat pads. You need to see a plastic surgeon true expert in upper eyelid rejuvenation who is also an expert in fat grafting. You need a revision with removal of the excess skin and correction of the ptosis first. Then you need fat grafting to correct the areas where the fat was removed. This may require several sessions. Of the two, this is the most difficult. See the last example in the web example then look under fat grafting.
