Hi there,It is difficult to answer this question without a physical examination and / or very standardized photos. However, in your case I would most likely recommend leaving the brow where it is.For the female brow the aesthetic goal is to position the brow at or up to 2cm above the supraorbital rim (bone). You have minimal to no signs of brow descent / ptosis and no signs of compensation with the muscles of your forehead. Furthermore brow lift adds expense, recovery time, and incisions that take time to heal. The goal for your upper blepharoplasty will be to open up the eyes so that you appear more rested and content. I would recommend increasing the exposure of the tarsal plate to the aesthetic goal of 2-4 mm. You currently do have hooding of the eyelid that makes that number about 1 mm (distance from the eyelid margin to the overhanging skin. Good luck with your next steps!
Looking at your photographs it would appear you would be suitable for an upper blepharoplasty alone and probably a browlift is not needed. Your whole brow is not visiblke on the photographs and such issues are always best determined at consultation and after your surgeon has had a chance to examine you.
For significant improvement, hooded eyelids require surgery if there is enough skin. For nonsurgical treatments: Radiofrequency (Thermage or Venus Legacy/Viva), injectable fillers, and a Botox brow lift can help contour the eyebrows and lift the eyelid skin. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an experienced cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer.
Certainly a good candidate for a bleph. Would stay away from a brow lift at this stage. Hope this helps.
Your photos indicate you are a good candidate for an upper blepharoplasty. This will remove excess skin from the upper lids, improving the "hooded" look. See a board certified plastic surgeon near you to learn more. I've included a video on this topic that I hope you find helpful.
Good Afternoon! It really depends on your goals and age. A brow lift is a procedure which can work well for many patients. The scarring can be an issue for some - especially if you're younger. Upper eyelids is not uncommon to address in patients in their 30s for improvement. This procedure is easier in my opinion and the results can be quite nice with minimal downtime. I would suggest doing the least invasive option before moving forward with something more aggressive. Hope this helps!
As we age, our eyelids naturally sag and droop. A combination approach would be best to see visible improvement. In terms of non-surgical treatment options, I would recommend a Chemical Brow Lift (using Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, or Jeuveau) and filler injections to rejuvenate the temples, eyebrow,...
I'm sorry to hear of the issues you are having since surgery. If you are unable to reach your surgeon I encourage you to meet with another board certified plastic surgeon near you for a consultation. An exam is needed to determine the best way to address your concerns.
For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in-person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest...
