14 days post op after breast reduction surgery. PS says I have superficial epidermolysis. Should I be concerned? (photos)

Had my 2 week follow up yesterday and was worried I had necrosis due to totally black areola and nipple on right breast and spotty blackness on left areola. My PS scraped away the blackness, which he called a scab. Underneath was pink and began to bleed, which he said was a good sign. Said only epidermis was affected and not the dermis. Called it superficial epidermolysis not worried. Treating with Polysporin. Check again in 2 weeks. Does this sound about right? 2nd opinion would reassure me.
