Will a 2nd treatment help or make this worse?

It is common that patients report the development of bumps and nodules on the skin. These can be massaged and will go away on their own. I would recommend increasing your water intake as well. I hope this helps. Best wishes!

It is possible to develop nodules in an area treated by SculpSure.  I have never seen these not go away over time.  It is thought that massaging them helps them to go away faster.  I would recommend waiting until the nodules have resolved before treating the area again.  

It can take 3-6 months for final results. I suggest lymphatic massage, hyperbaric oxygen, and RF treatments like venus legacy to help reduce any swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. Nodules may occur with non-invasive laser fat removal, and will likely completely go away.  You should hydrate and massage the area to help with the recovery.  We recommend continuing with your next treatment once the nodule has resolved.

Nodules after noninvasive fat destruction is common.  I would recommend that you wait until the nodules are gone before starting your next treatment.  Keep drinking water and massaging the area and that should help speed the recovery.

Nodules are common after SculpSure and basically represent destroyed fat that needs to be cleared.  Continue to massage the area and stay will hydrated.  It is recommended that the second session be postponed until those nodules have resolved.  Good luck.

Lumps or nodules after non-invasive fat reduction, with devices like SculpSure and CoolSculpting, have been reported. These typically resolve in the weeks after treatment. In my practice I advise patients to wait until nodules resolve before receiving their next SculpSure treatment.  I would suggested continued massage of the areas with nodules. In my practice, I do offer the Zimmer Z Wave treatment complimentary for all our patients receiving SculpSure after their treatment. I have had patients who did experience nodules post-treatment and utilizing the Z Wave with weekly treatments did help these lumps to resolve more quickly. The Z Wave uses high energy radial shockwaves, which provides a much more vigorous "massage" than a hand massage to the treated areas, to both enhance treatment outcomes and can help resolve these nodules. You may want to considering locating a provider in your area that offers this treatment.

Some patients do get nodules after SculpSure procedures.  We generally recommend waiting to do the next procedure until the nodules have mostly resolved.  Massaging the area may help decrease the overall amount of time it takes for them to go away but they should resolve completely with time.  

I would recommend being patient, the nodules will eventually be absorbed, and massaging the area will also help with this process. Getting a 2nd SculpSure treatment will not make the nodules go away any faster, and I recommend waiting till the nodules resolve before repeating treatment in the same area. It can take up to 12 weeks for all the dissolved fat to be removed by your body's lymph system. 

i would suggest that you gently massage them. they will almost certainly get much smaller and in most cases will go away. you do not have to delay your next session because of them. they are rarely visible and they are not dangerous.david berman md
