It is safe to resume Xeomin injections, just be aware that there could be more bruising since you are taking a baby aspirin. Icing the injection sites afterwards and using Arnica gel can help, and an injector that takes their time to carefully inject will also lower your risk of bruising. The positive effects of Xeomin will last way after any potential bruising.

Recently, I had brain stent surgery. I am off prescription blood thinners, but take a daily baby aspirin. Can I safely resume my Xeomin injections? Should I stop the baby aspirin for a week to diminish bruising? Any thoughts are appreciated.

Picosure lasers are safe for all skin types, and ideal for PIH treatment. You may experience some redness following treatment, however I have NEVER seen blisters form from this treatment. My two concerns would be if there is something wrong with their laser, or if there is something unique to your skin making it hypersensitive to pressure. After Picosure treatment the spots will initially become darker as the pigment comes up to the surface, but then it flakes off making the spot lighter than before.

I had a few spots of PIH on my legs so I bought 6 sessions of PicoSure laser with FOCUS lens. After each session, my hyperpigmentation became increasingly worse and the spots grew 2-3x in size. Even spots that had no PIH blistered and scabbed. I expressed concern after each treatment but kept getting reassured by the Dr. that these were the expected results. The last two sessions were very painful for a week and caused my skin to completely come off as if it was burned. Why is this happening?

The good news is drinking alcohol will not dissolve lip filler so you can enjoy your event, however I usually don’t recommend attending an important event right after lip filler in case there is bruising or excessive swelling. Lips typically look more filled/swollen right after they are injected. Avoid kissing on the lips for 48-72 hrs after filler also. Icing the lips gently 10-15 minutes at a time can help reduce swelling as can arnica gel (available without a prescription). Alcohol is a vasodilator, and that can increase the risk of swelling and bruising, so not a good idea the same day as your filler. It would be a good time to try a mocktail and be the designated driver though!

Hi, I have an event scheduled the evening of my lip injection appointment. I've read that consuming alcohol after injections can increase swelling, but would it risk dissolving my lip filler and not achieving full results?

You "can" do Sculpsure on your belly when you are on your period, however it may be more uncomfortable during your period, so I would recommend waiting till after. Many women compare the feeling of Sculpsure to menstrual cramps, so having menstrual cramps on top of menstrual cramps is not ideal.

Can I do the SculpSure treatment for my belly when I have my period?

Paradoxical Adipose Hyperplasia is a rare phenomenon that can occur with Coolsculpting/Cryolipolysis. One of the benefits of Sculpsure is that there is no such risk for this.

I have read online that Coolsculpting can cause Paradoxical Adipose Hyperplasia and I'm wondering if Sculpsure can do so as well. Way about other non-surgical fat removal techniques?

I would recommend using a filler to correct this. Both neuromodulators or fillers can correct a down-turned lip, however using fillers will give you longer lasting results and there is better control when correcting the problem because the injector can see the results immediately. Same goes for the sleep wrinkles you mentioned! :)

I'm 47 years old. I definitely want filler for my lips. Can you please suggest non-surgical procedures to help with my down turned mouth. Can I/ should I also do Botox to lift my top lip and corners of mouth or would fillers be better. I also have "sleep" wrinkles by my mouth, would I use Botox or fillers to get rid of them. You are correct that there is a potential risk of hyperpigmentation with IPL treatments (ICON). Neither treatment will correct the deep scars in a single treatment, so be patient! Multiple modalities may be the best approach, however I would recommend a combination of Picosure followed by microneedling from an experienced medical office. Picosure is the safest for dark skin, and will help revitalize your skin by stimulating neocollagenesis and increased elastin, while the micro needling will help break down scar tissue associated with the deeper scars. PDO microthreads have also been effective for deep scarring.

Hi I’m 25 and have pitted scarring - I’ve had two opinions and one send combination of ICON and Picosure but 3 sessions of ICON first and the other said Picosure. I’m concerned that my skin is going to have crazy hyperpigmentation with ICON but I think it’s more effective. Would appreciate any advice. Thanks

Aloha!&nbsp; I practice in Hawaii, where most of my patients have darker skin types that will sometimes darken after traditional laser treatment.&nbsp; I chose the PicoSure laser specifically because it is safe for darker skin.&nbsp; It will lighten sun spots, and brighten the skin by stimulating the elastin and collagen in your skin. If you want to lighten your skin then a good sunblock is essential, and Picosure can lighten areas that have been darkened by the the effects of UV, and also melasma.

I am of an Indian background (dark brown skin), and was advised to get Picosure done for my darkened area around my mouth and chin and forehead - which I did. I have had 2 treatments so far, but no results. the only thing has has happened is that my skin is slightly faking off. Is that a good thing? How do you know PicoSure is working (without seeing a lighter colour appear)? Also, can Picosure be used to lighten your skin colour on your face overall?

You are partially correct, some lasers will cause hyperpigmentation in people with darker skin.&nbsp; I practice in Hawaii, where there are a lot of people with darker skin - Hispanics, Asians, Pacific Islanders etc, and that is why I chose PicoSure because it IS&nbsp;safe for all skin types.&nbsp; I have never had any of my patients develop hyperpigmentation following a PicoSure treatment, and that is also why it is the #1 laser used in Asia for treating the skin!

I’ve heard lasers are not safe on Hispanic skin, but have read that PicoSure could be a safe option.

How does the PicoSure laser work on dark skin vs other lasers for removing freckles and sunspots?

There is no known contraindication between taking Phentermine and having Sculpsure, however since you have had side effects with phentermine at your current dose, I would discuss with your physician going to a lower dose. The best dose is the lowest effective dose without side effects. &nbsp;(Phentermine also comes in 15mg and 30mg strengths)&nbsp;

I have my second appointment this Friday, I have been taking phentermine 37.5 for 3 weeks now, , and I am in a low carb diet. My question is, do I have to stop the pills to do Sculpsure? (Because of the side effects I have some times, I am afraid it will be too much for my heart) Appreciate your comments.
