I'm 18 years old and am considering getting my lips enhanced this year but would still like them to look natural, without that obvious, for lack of better word, "plastic surgery" look. I'm not looking for a VERY dramatic or specific look. I am happy with the shape of my lips but they're too thin for me and I would like them to be more full/bigger, especially my upper lip. Which treatment is best and will I be legally allowed to get it, given that I am 18?

Answer: Lip filler at 18 Hi, thanks for your question. Yes, you an get lip filler at 18. Please be sure to go to an injector with a lot of experience at a reputable clinic, and definitely talk to them about the look that you are trying to achieve. Keep in mind that lip fillers can last anywhere from 6-12 months so you really want a result that you'll be happy with. That said, hyaluronic acid based fillers are dissolvable in case you're not satisfied with your final result. It takes anywhere from 1-2 weeks for the filler to settle and for any bruising or swelling to subside so you won't necessarily see your final result immediately following your treatment.

Answer: Legal age for Juvederm The age studied by the makers of Juvederm (Allergan) is 21 and up. With this being said, many providers will still treat a patient 18 years and older with verbal and written consent.
