My hairline is too high and I need help with options

I was wondering which procedure (hairline lowering or hair transplant or other) would be easier, safer and less pricey for lowering my forehead with about 1.5-2 cm. Can you also tell me the approximate price for each one? Thanks

The cost of hair transplant surgery differs from doctor to doctor / from clinic to clinic.  It is best you see different doctors for consultation and varying fees in your area.

Without looking at pictures, its hard to tell.  That being said, it also has to do with the amount of scalp laxity and forehead laxity that you have.  I saw a young patient in yesterday with the same concern, and while they may have benefited from 1.25-1.5cm of lowering, the laxity present simply would not have yielded that in the long term.  Make sure you go to someone who is comfortable with either procedure and there are a variety of different things that need to be discussed prior to choosing one vs the other.  Best of luck.

It is difficult to tell without any photos. A great first step would be an online consultation. Often you can submit photos to top hair restoration surgeons for a complimentary evaluation. This should help lead you in the right direction. Having multiple consultations with different doctors cannot hurt.

For a female, the hairline lowering operation is usually the best and most economical approach, in my opinion. A male with ongoing hair loss is usually better served by a series of hair transplants.

You did not state if you are male or female, andthat is important.   reduction surgery comes in two types, the first is asurgical procedure that gives you same day results, the second is a hairtransplant that takes 6-7 months to see. For men, my only concern is in thepotential balding that may occur as most balding starts about your age andadvances until the mid-thirties. If that happened to you (your risk) then youwill have to get a hair transplant to cover it as the frontal area is the placethat genetic balding starts in the young man.
