Would liposuction be the best option to target muffin top? Male, recent weight loss (photos)

Thank you for your question and congratulations on your weight loss. Looking at your photos I would suggest a tummy tuck for the best results. This will allow your Surgeon to tighten up your abdominal wall muscles and remove the extra skin. Liposuction would be great for the love handle area, but not sure it will get rid of the extra skin on the abdomen. If you choose to go with liposuction I would suggest a laser assisted liposuction which will help with skin retraction. I would recommend seeing a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in person to evaluate you and discuss your options. Best of luck to you.

Thank you for your question. Based on the photos, it appears that you have excess skin of the lower abdomen and moderate fat deposits of your abdomen, flanks, and back. In addition, there seems to be component of visceral fat (fat surrounding your abdominal organs - inside fat).

Liposuction along with an energy device may improve the appearance, but is unlikely to completely address the skin laxity.

Ideal treatment would include weight loss, abdominoplasty with lipo 360. The downside is this option is more aggressive and will require some downtime.

Liposuction only removes fat not hanging skin. If you undergo liposuction, your skin will hang and you will need a tummy tuck. I recommend abdominoplasty with mesh reinforcement. The mesh creates a more flatter abdomen by compressing the abdominal wall resulting in early satiety and helps maintain a reduced weight.

Thank you for your question. Based on the pictures you appear to be good candidate for full tummy tuck and liposuction in your stomach, laterals and pubic area.

Your BMI is still high and must be below 30 so, still 30-40 lbs more to lose. It will be ideal to reduce the visceral fat to achieve a flat abdomen. Liposuction won’t tighten your skin and either will reduce the visceral fat.
After losing some more weight you will be a great candidate for Lower Body lift with muscle repair, mons lift and reduction, real buttocks lift.
Be encouraged. My recommendation will be to look for a Board certified Plastic Surgeon who is expert in after weight loss surgery.
