I had an emergency root canal this morning (8/30) and the dentist put me on antibiotics...however, my surgery is scheduled for this Wednesday. My PS office is closed and I have read that the antibiotics won't hurt anything but I just want to make sure!!!

The first thing I would do is to repeat the blood count to be sure that this is not a lab error. If it is not then you should see your family physician before proceeding with an elective cosmetic surgical procedure.
Your surgeon will guide you on how long to wear the support garment. I have my patients wear a compression garment x 2 weeks and longer as they wish for comfort and support.
