I had a BA 7days ago. Yesterday I had a sudden onset of tightness and a feeling of heartburn in my throat. It is very difficult and mildly painful to swallow. Rolaids does help calm the sensation down, but it has not gone away completely. My surgeon suggested the ibuprofen could be to blame. I took 500 mg twice daily for 5 days, but none today. I did take my clindamyacin today. The sensation persists. Is this normal? How long should I expect to have this discomfort? Thank you.
