I appreciate your question.Yes. As long as your blood pressure is under control and managed by your primary care doctor. Also, your EKG must be clear pre-operatively as well. The best way to assess and givetrue advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certifiedplastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative breast surgery.Best of luck!Dr. Schwartz
Yes, but make sure that your surgeon and anesthesiologist know exactly what you are taking. You may require further pre-op testing, but other than that, you should be fine. Best, Dr. Nazarian.
In general, yes you can. As long as your blood pressure is well controlled on the medication and your plastic surgeon, medical doctor, and anesthesiologist all have cleared you for undergoing an elective procedure. Sometimes they may want to get some labs or an EKG before the procedure. High blood pressure is very common and many of my breast augmentation patients historically have had high blood pressure controlled with medication. They have all done quite well. Talk to your doctor and your plastic surgeon. Good luck!
In general, it is no problem as long as you are in a normal blood pressure range. Always discuss your medications with your plastic surgeon and the anesthesiologist.
As long as your blood pressure is controlled with medication, there is no contraindication to undergo a procedure such as a breast augmentation. Make sure you speak with both your plastic surgeon and your doctor.
Yes. High blood pressure is very common and many women undergo breast augmentation with hypertension. We just require that your blood pressure is under good control. The anesthesia providers may require an EKG before surgery.
Breast augmentation can be performed despite a number of medical issues. However, certain precautions may be necessary. It is important that you let your anesthesiologist and surgeon know which medications you are taking. In some cases, blood tests may be necessary prior to surgery since many of the blood pressure medications may alter your potassium levels which can become a safety issue with surgery. Hope this helps and good luck.
High blood pressure is a pretty common problem. Yes is done on patients with high blood pressure every day. Be sure to continue taking your medication and let your surgeon and anesthesiologist know about this. You should be fine.Good luck!
Typically, so long as you have good control of your blood pressure, the risk of surgery and anesthesia is low and not a contraindication to surgery. Your doctor should make sure your medical condition is appropriate for the surgery.
Thank you for the question. Well-controlled hypertension is not a contraindication to elective breast surgery. It will be important that your blood pressure be well-controlled before, during, and after the breast augmentation procedure. To make sure, you may wish to be reevaluated by your physician again prior to surgery. Ask your plastic surgeon how to manage your antihypertensive medication prior to surgery as well. I hope this helps.
Yes, you are still in the healing process. It can take up to 6 months. So, for now, be patient but if you are still unhappy with how things look at the 6 month mark, then schedule an appointment to speak with your surgeon. Best, Dr. Nazarian
It sounds as if you have a stitch issue and it is causing inflammation and irritation. Schedule an appointment with your surgeon so that he or she can assess in person. A steroid injection may clear it up. Best, Dr. Nazarian
Since your surgeon already removed a stitch from there, I would hazard a guess that this is simply the aftermath of a spitting suture. It will heal in time. Best, Dr. Nazarian
