The prior surgery should not significantly complicate breast augmentation and should not affect the aesthetic outcome. Safety is always paramount, so before having any elective surgery, you should first be cleared by your cardiologist.
Thanks for your question. You would need to have medical clearance from your cardiologist. Schedule a consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options. Best wishes!
If you are a healthy enough for surgery, I suspect he would be a good candidate for breast implants. You would certainly have to consider a lift also. You could sit down with a board certified plastic surgeon to see what your options are. You may need clearance by a cardiologist to assure that anesthesia is safe. Good luck.
Hello,Each plastic surgeon may have a different answer. We would want to look at your full medical history as well as have your primary doctor do an updated physical, may request and EKG as well.
Dear NoraBorden,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. You will need to get a clearance from your doctor prior to surgery. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Yes, as long as your primary care physician and cardiologist say it’s okay. You should also mention your medical history to your plastic surgeon so they know.
Breast implants are technically possible following this midline incision. However, I would make sure to get clearance from your cardiologist and possibly your heart surgeon before proceeding with surgery.
I recommend an in person consultation with a plastic surgeon to discuss your goals and be measured. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size and profile implants. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful. You would benefit more from a breast lift than implants as your breasts are asymmetrical in volume, shape and position. The technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired. You will need to have cardiac clearance before surgery.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
Whether it is safe to get implants having had heart surgery is possible but you need your cardiologist to okay it. Much de Ends on the nature of the heart problem and if you are in blood thinners
