I used 80 TCA on my hands. I did not dilute. My hands are wrinkled very badly. Will they go back to normal?

TCA 80% is an extremely powerful chemical peeling agent, and one that has the potential to result in serious, permanent consequences if used improperly or if applied in inappropriate locations.Frankly a concentration of only TCA 50% is considered strong enough for use, to the extent that professionals sought ways to use lower the concentration of the acid even further by combining its use in much lower concentrations of other chemicals, such as Jessner's solution along with TCA 35% for a medium depth facial peel.Moreover, the neck and backs of the hands are considered locations where the skin is thinner and more likely to experience scarring and pigmentary problems, especially from highly potent peeling agents, likely full strength phenol and .TCA 50%.It should seem clear from what I have said that, to say the least, it was imprudent to be self-treating in the first place and certainly ill-advised to use such a potent form of TCA on the hands.My suggestion is that you seek consultation with a board certified dermatologist to evaluate your present condition and to suggest appropriate treatment if necessary.

80% for hands is nearly 3 times the concentration most Specialist would use for the hands. Not a good idea. Do not do this at home. 8-10 % TCA single coat is fine, that can be done at home safely, anything higher is dangerous. See a Specialist for dressings and wound care.
