Fat grafting or fat transfer to the buttocks can create a natural result--the buttocks can be made fuller, rounder, yet will still be soft (once the swelling has resolved) and will be fine to sit on, exercise, etc.  Implants to the buttocks have more problems in regards to issues with pain and infections.  Fat transfer sometimes needs to be done more than once in order to give the patient the fullest shape possible for them.  It is important to understand that before going forward.  If you want the most natural result that will avoid long-term issues with buttock implants, fat transfer to the buttocks is the way to go in my opinion.  Patients are very happy with their new shape after this procedure because not only is the buttock fuller, but since liposuction is done on the torso, the waist is also smaller--this gives the silhoutte a nice improvement.

Fat grafting to the buttock has become a very popular as it uses your own body fat to augment your buttock. Once all the swelling has come down it feels and moves just like your natural buttock.

One of the other posts comments on the fat not lasting and there are a lot of factors that affect the final outcome. The amount of fat that is injected, the processing of the fat and the post-operative care.

The vast majority of patients are very happy after their brazilian butt lift.

Hello, the Implant is placed intramuscular the muscle, so yes, your buttock will/should move as it always has, obviously, it will be slightly different due to the implants.

Dear lilmama,    Fat injection to the butts is a waste of time and money as I have seen on many patients who came to my surgery center for butt implants surgery after the disappointment from fat injection that was done by other surgeons. The fat disappears completely or almost completely after 6 - 12 months. Fat injection to the butts is physiologically illogical, because you can not expect such large amount of fat to survive without circulation, Think about it, if fat injection would have been consistent and reliable, breasts implants would have disappeared from the market. Last year, breasts augmentation with implants was the number one cosmetic surgery in the US... Your best option is butt implants. When done correctly, the results are very attractive and natural. Not all results are the same because there are different techniques and  implants have different shape and softness. Consult only with board certified plastic surgeons who do lots of butt implants surgery in accredited surgery center for your safety. Check the before and after to make sure that they are numerous, consistent and you like them. It depends on the method of butt augmentation and how big you make it. I perform a LOT of buttock augmentations at my Atlanta area surgery center.  My favorite method to reshape the backside is the Brazilian Butt Lift.  This involves liposuction to reshape the waist and abdomen and using that fat to enhance the buttocks and/or hips.  This method is very natural in appearance, feel and movement.  It also has the added benefit of liposuction to give beautiful curves.  Buttock implants can also be placed for fullness - depending on the size, they might not move as naturally.

Hello. The way your buttock augmentation moves and feels depends on the type of procedure you undergo. If you choose to have the fat grafting, this will feel like normal fat, which is soft.  IF you have an  implant, this will feel firmer. Your butt should still look, feel, and move like a normal butt after a Brazilian Butt Lift.  This procedure involves taking fat away from areas surrounding the buttocks and injecting the buttocks with purified fat to accentuate the butt.  I do not recommend or perform buttock implant augmentation because it does not have the same natural look or feel as fat injections.
