After injection of Bellafill into the lips. Besides icing. Is it recommended to do any massaging at any point?

Hi and thank you for your question! Bellafill is not recommend for injection into the lips as it can cause lumps and bumps there. The recommends fillers for lips are hyaluronic acid fillers such as Juvederm Ultra Plus, Restylane Lyft (Perlane), Volbella and Volume (for long-lasting results). Regardless, massaging is usually not required following Bellafill injection and some physicians recommend some gentle massaging while others don't, and in my opinion it shouldn't affect the results much. I would not advise you to get Bellafill in your lips. If used for lips, then make sure that you have experienced injector. If not injected majestically it is harder to fix problems since Bellafill is semi-permanent. It lasts up to five years. After Bellafil treatment, provider will advise you to ice it, they will massage the area but you are not supposed to. Best of luck!
