I want something to take care of this stubborn chin fat if not permanently than long term, but I’m not willing to risk an uneven jawline or negative reaction. Recommendations for any good doctors in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana or Illinois would be appreciated as well.
Answer: Facetite and Morpheus may be the way to go for contouring of the face Hello, kybella is likely not going to give you the satisfactory results you want. It would reduce adipose tissue. However, in your case it is not just in the submental area. The Facetite, would reduce some the fatty tissue and tighten the skin at the same time. However, there are risks involved even if minor with the procedure. For many young patients in my office, who do not have tremendous laxity, Morpheus series has worked beautifully to contour the face. It does require three treatments. But down time and risks are minimal when done by someone properly trained. If you’re not ready for invasive procedures, I would consider Morpheus 8 over kybella first. Patience will be the key with this route as don’t expect results overnight. For most of my patients it’s a 3-6 month turn around. Hope hat helps.

Answer: How to treat stubborn chin fat Thank you for your question. Kybella is an injectable treatment that destroys submental fat cells so they can be eliminated by the natural processes of the body. Most patients need multiple treatment sessions to achieve full results. Another option is CoolSculpting, which uses controlled cooling to destroy the fat cells. This procedure may only require one treatment to produce a complete outcome. You might also consider tumescent liposuction, which is performed with local anesthesia. Microcannulas remove the fat from the area, producing dramatic improvement soon after treatment. There is a recovery time of a few days after this procedure. I encourage you to schedule a consultation with a board-certified dermatologist who has experience using all of these treatments. With an in-person assessment and discussion of your concerns and goals, your doctor can help you determine the best approach for you.

Answer: Better options for treating submental fat under the chin CoolSculpting or chin liposuction would likely be the best options for you. CoolSculpting uses cryolipolysis (controlled cooling) to freeze the submental fat cells under the chin. Since fat freezes at higher temperatures than other cells in the body, it is destroyed without damaging the surrounding skin and tissue. The treated fat cells are eliminated naturally by the body, with results forming in the weeks following treatment. This treatment does not require any anesthesia or downtime. Chin liposuction is another possible treatment to consider. This procedure is performed using local anesthesia and microcannulas to remove the fat in a single treatment session. Recovery is usually just a few days, and the results can be seen almost right away. FaceTite is radiofrequency energy that tightens the skin but won’t eliminate the fat that creates the “double chin.” I think in your situation, the results would be disappointing. I encourage you to schedule a consultation with a board-certified dermatologist who can assess you in person and help you determine which treatment will be the best fit for you.

Answer: Should I get Kybella or Facetite? Thank you for the photos and it does appear that Kybella would be an option for you. I would always recommend a consultation in person so one can feel the unwanted tissue to see if there is enough to maybe even do a round of coolsculpting. Good luck!

Answer: Facial Slimming — Masseter Botox, Facetite/Renuvion J Plasma, Buccal Fat Pad Removal, Fillers to sculpt the Cheek/Jawline/Chin you will need facetite or renuvion and liposuction. kybella will not help. you also should start morpheus and threads. at home MTS rolling and peels. most of my younger patients do buccal fat pad reduction, facetite/liposuction of the neck (see link), and fillers to chin/cheeks/jawline/temples, to give them a more chiseled face. see my IG and links. at home derma-rolling should be started to Improve texture and tone and tightening along jawline (see link where we have a recommended daily skincare and weekly MTS + anteageMD derma-rolling protocol). For facial slimming a combination of treatments are always needed. Options include: 1. Buccal fat pad removal to reduce fat on the lower face 2. Factite or Renuvion/J Plasma to tighten the lower face, jawline, and chin to reduce fat and give the jawline and neck tightening and shaping. 3. Botox to the masseter to reduce the muscular size of the jaw giving the face an illusion of being more slender 4. Fillers to the jawline, chin, cheeks, temples and brow help to shape the face and make it more angled and defined most of my younger patients consider... 5. deep microneelding RF like morpheus every 2-3 months forever to further improvement tightening 6. early face/neck lift if you want a really tight contour and the most extreme improvement in jawline and neck shaping 7. threads, PDO or Instalift, after neck surgery/facetite to further improve the outcomes and give them long term collagen production and shaping 8. Thermage (radio frequency heating) and Ultherapy (ultrasound muscle tightening) yearly to prevent sagging in the future See an expert who does facial shaping with surgical and non surgical methods to get a comprehensive option.
