Question

Based off the photos provided, how many treatments of Kybella would I need to remove my double chin for noticeable results? Also for the size of the treatment area about how many CCs per visit would I need to get? Medspa is offering a special on Kybella - buy 2 sessions get the 3rd free. Each syringe is $100 - receive 3mils for $200. Trying to figure out how many sessions this would cover based on my photos.

Kybella typically takes 3 to 5 treatments to work. This is why I've stopped carrying Kybella in my office. I recommend neck liposuction more often then any injectable procedure for the neck now. It provides superior results gives me more control over the area than any injectable. It also costs about the same as what you paid for your first kybella session. The liposuction can be done under local while awake in the office and recovery is about the same as kybella.

kybella is unpredictable and typically doesnt work for contouring or tightenig which you need.

most of my younger patients do buccal fat pad reduction, facetite/liposuction of the neck, and fillers to chin/cheeks/jawline/temples,  to give them a more chiseled face.  see my IG and links. at home derma-rolling should be started to Improve texture and tone and tightening along jawline (see link where we have a recommended daily skincare and weekly MTS + anteageMD derma-rolling protocol).

For facial slimming a combination of treatments are always needed.  Options include:

1. Buccal fat pad removal to reduce fat on the lower face
2. Factite or Renuvion/J Plasma to tighten the lower face, jawline, and chin to reduce fat and give the jawline and neck tightening and shaping.
3. Botox to the masseter to reduce the muscular size of the jaw giving the face an illusion of being more slender
4. Fillers to the jawline, chin, cheeks, temples and brow help to shape the face and make it more angled and defined

most of my younger patients consider...
5. deep microneelding RF like morpheus every 2-3 months forever to further improvement tightening
6. early face/neck lift if you want a really tight contour and the most extreme improvement in jawline and neck shaping
7. threads, PDO or Instalift, after neck surgery/facetite to further improve the outcomes and give them long term collagen production and shaping
8. Thermage (radio frequency heating) and Ultherapy (ultrasound muscle tightening) yearly to prevent sagging in the future

While Kybella is effective, it is unpredictable in a sense that everyone responds differently to it. For some, one session of 2 vials will do the trick, and for others (with the same amount of fat), it can take up to 5 sessions. In your case, I would say 2 - 3 sessions of 1 - 2 vials, but this is just a rough estimate based on the photos you've sent. Be sure to confirm with your doctor and see what they suggest.

Hello! 
Kybella is typically sold per vial. Each vial is about 2 mLs. I usually recommend a series of treatments and each patient responds differently to Kybella. Average patient requires 3-6 vials in total, each session spaced a month apart. I would recommend starting with 2 vials on your first visit and doing a series of 2-2-1. So, 2 vials month 1, 2 vials month 2, and 1 vial on the final month and I think you would have great results!!
