Are there risks involved with chin implant removal 2 weeks post op? Should I be concerned about tissue or nerve damage?

Hello I got chin implant (mouth incision) 2 weeks ago and I know I want it out. (Yes even if it deswells) My surgeon told me that I need to wait till the tissues are fully healed, so 6 months But every surgeon on here says you can get it out at any point and sooner is better for the skin not to stretch. I’m getting a second opinion, but my concern is, if I do have the option to take it out now, are there high risks for tissue, nerve or anything ? I dont mind if incision is under the chin

Every change in the face, in particular nose, eyes, chin, will need some time for patient to addopt and accept it. We all go through a circle of liking and disliking until final decision is made and change is , usually, accepted. Fot that reason, it would be wise to wait several months to make final decision. Risk for infection, bleeding, additional swelling is higher if implant is early removed. Give it a try. Good luck.

Implants should either be removed as soon as possible or wait a full six months. if you’re still at two weeks you’re in a good place to have the implant removed but once you get closer to a month it’s better to wait the full six months.
It depends on the development of scar tissue and scar tissues time to mature.
Removing implants very early if you know they need to be removed is the best way to go. Hopefully by now you found a solution
