CBCT vs CT scan for custom implants, which is preferred?

Planning to get a custom cheek implant but need an XRAY of my skull first. Thing is, every surgeon asks for a slightly different thing. CBCT, CT, 3DCT etc. I can't tell if they're all the same or not so I'd like your guys' input on what is the most preferred type of XRAY.

Either a CBCT or traditional CT is fine. In many cases, custom implants are not necessary for cheeks. There are many standard options for cheeks that can be "customized" during the surgery. The additional expense for custom implants is substantial and not always necessary.

A CT scan is better for custom cheek implants especially. A CBCT can work, but a CT scan is recommended for cheek implants, particularly because computer imaging in the cheek's area introduces a lot of "noise" or artifacts that aren't optimal for discovering the topography of your cheeks (submalar area).
A CBCT tends to be ok for jaw and chin custom implants.
