Is my chin implant infected? (photo)

3.5 weeks post-op chin implant redness appeared around the incision. Surgeon said it's infected but wasn't clear if it was the incision or the implant. I've been on amoxcillin for 6 days, and the redness has changed (disappeared in some places and appeared in others) but hasn't clearly subsided. Questions: How will I know if the infection is of the implant or incision, and whether it has been resolved by antibiotics? And how long would this usually take?
