I want to know if there is a way to get less upper eyelid exposure. They make me look tired.
Answer: Eyelid Surgery You would benefit from tightening the eyelid muscle to elevate the eyelids. This will decrease the tarsal platform show (“exposure of the lid”) and make you look less tired. Best to see an eyelid specialist.

Answer: Tired looking eyes Thank you for sharing your question and posting your photos. It appears you have bilateral ptosis (droopy eyelids) which can be easily treated by an experienced oculoplastic surgeon. Make an appointment for comprehensive evaluation and treatment. Good luck!

Answer: Tired appearing upper eyelids It is difficult for me to tell from the pictures you provided, but it is possible that you have ptosis of your upper eyelids. This condition occurs when the upper eyelid falls lower across the eyeball than it should and it can normally be corrected with a surgical procedure. I would consult with an oculoplastic surgeon or a surgeon experienced in ptosis repair.

Answer: Need to come in to consult For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: How would I lessen my upper eyelids? Thank you for your question. Based on your photographs it appears that you have eyelid ptosis. This means the eyelid itself drops lower than it should and covers part of your pupil. This appears worse on the left side in the photograph that you show. A blepharoplasty will not correct eyelid ptosis. If you in fact have eyelid ptosis correction to show less of your eyelid would require a procedure called a levator advancement. This procedure restores the normal muscle insertion to your eyelid to lift your eyelids higher during resting position. I urge you to see a plastic surgeon or oculoplastic surgeon with experience in ptosis surgery. It is very important that you see an expert and not undergo a blepharoplasty by a surgeon who does not specialize in eyelid surgery.
