Biggest risk for someone like you would be lower eyelid retraction following lower lid surgery. This is very uncommon if a transconjunctival approach is used (an incision on the back on the lid without removing skin). In my hands, I would place a temporary tarsorrhaphy (stitch used to close the corner of your eye) for 1-2 weeks to ensure your cornea is not affected. Best to see an eyelid specialist.
