2 Years Since Surgery; Deeply Dissatisfied with Results - what should my next steps be?
It's been two years since I had a breast reduction with a lollipop incision. My breasts were originally estimated to weigh approx. 1200 grams each. About 400 grams was removed from each breast. Needless to say, this has not provided the relieve I desperately sought. The surgery was paid for out-of-pocket, as I did not meet the removal requirements of 650 grams to be covered by my insurance. I'm at a loss of what my next steps are. I am terrified to put my trust in another surgeon and put my body and bank account through further trauma. But I am desperate for relief from the shoulder and neck pain, as well as the skin-on-skin contact. Plus, I have additional pain from internal scar tissue caused by a wound that took 6 months to heal. Unfortunately, removing the equivalent of two cup sizes was too conservative to produce significant relief, and I feel cheated of not only a good result but a pleasant experience. Yes, i already discussed this with my surgeon on multiple occasions. I felt my concerns were dismissed; therefore, I no longer feel comfortable in her care. I am deeply saddened and demoralized. This was a $32,000 investment. Any professional advice, words of wisdom, or experience with BR revisions? Thank you!
