Breast Reduction April 2024 - could a rash on the scar line be surgery related? (Photo)

I had my surgery April of 2024, I noticed months later on December 2024 I had a rash along my scar line. I have been to 2 dermatologist and was put on triamcinolone and a steroid pill. Neither have worked 100% Now I am referred to a plastic surgeon as mine has closed since my surgery. Could this be surgery related?

In our practice, we will generally discuss not reducing SO much to avoid doing a free nipple graft. You may be very happy with reducing as much as is safely possible in order to avoid that free nipple graft. Good luck!

@Enthusiastic484638, In short, you will NOT be able to breastfeed in the future if you have a free nipple graft. The reason is when this surgery is performed we remove the nipple and it survives as a skin graft. This severs the connection between the nipple and the milk ducts within your breast...
