It is difficult to evaluate a photo with tape on your nose. If you're concerned that your bump may grow back, that may be unlikely. You're likely swollen less than a month postoperative. Hope this helps. Dr Joseph

Swelling after a rhinoplasty depends of the surgery complexity. In this regard, the nasal swelling Post-op It can last from two weeks to two months. To reduce this swelling, I recommend you perform delicates daily lymphatic drainage massage therapy over the face (around the nose) avoid sun exposure, and take pain/inflamation pills, as your surgeron precribe you. It can take up to one year for soft tissue to settle down based on your skin quality and thickness. Share you concerns with your plastic surgeon. If you're not satisfied with his/her explanation then you may consider getting a second opinion.  Best of luck!

It is likely that you have a lot of swelling. I would give it time to settle down. This can take a year or longer.

Dear gareme79, You are likely seeing swelling that will dissipate over the coming months. Generally the nose swells after the splint removal so be patient and see your surgeon often for peace of mind.
