It's difficult to say without the benefit of a formal evaluation. This is my expertise and a huge portion of my practice. Asymmetry is normal and expected. See an expert who does facial shaping with surgical and non surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.
Thank you for your question. I suggest that you move forward and consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon.Best wishes,
Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. Though your pictures offer limited views it appears that a chin augmentation would help improve both areas of concern. Whether through dermal fillers, chin implant, or osseous genioplasty I would see an ASPS board certified plastic surgeon in consultation to discuss.
You would be a great candidate for a sliding genioplasty which will improve both your chin and your neck. Removal of some fat from under the chin and adjusting the muscles will further improve the chin and the neck.Good Luck
hello Earitz2 A necklift is a surgical or non-surgical procedure designed to smooth out these wrinkles and folds that occur with age by tightening the tissues that lie beneath the skin and removing extra skin around the neck and jawline. Necklifting methods are tailored to each patient to give their desired youthful result, reversing the visual effects of the aging process. You PS would help you make the right decision. #chin #jaw
The jaw and the neck work in harmony, the angle that the jaw creates in relation to the neck can be modified by increasing the distance of the jaw. This can be achieved by different methods. The result needs to be very customized. We use a 3D system to help you visualize the result with a simulation, that helps me decide what type of implant to use. Best, Dr. RG
Hello and thank you for your question. Based on yourphotograph, you may benefit from a chin implant. I always usea medpor implant with screw fixation, which has a much lower risk ofmalrotation over time versus a silicone chin implant. Make sure you specifically look atbefore and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performedby your surgeon and not just a computer animation system. The most importantaspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seekconsultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluateyou in person.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. Reish, M.D.Harvard-trained plastic surgeon
This is a good question. Both of your issues can be solved with a chin augmentation. Your chin is deficient in horizontal length and augmentation will give you the improved proportions your face needs for balance. This will also help your neck in its appearance and make it look slimmer. This can either be performed with an implant or with fat transfer. You are a good candidate for either procedure. Many surgeons will utilize an implant and this is a good option. It will give you the length needed for improvement. Also, fat can be utilized as well in much the same way fillers are used. This will give you a long term result as well. The surgeon must be experienced in this procedure. I have utilized fat many times for this problem. The fat is layered in the chin in multiple areas for improvement. It is placed in the horizontal and vertical direction for projection. It is also long term as well. I hope this helps.
I think that both of your complaints can be improved with chin augmentation. Two options are a chin implant or jaw surgery. A chin implant is the best option (fast recovery, reversible, cheaper) if your bite is normal. If you have any issues with your bite (particularly an overbite), then jaw surgery is the best option. Seeing a maxillofacial surgeon for a bite evaluation will be beneficial. Good luck!
Your chin is horizontally short and vertically long, obscuring any neck definition. You ideally would need jawline lengthening through a sliding genioplasty to stretch out the chin and create better neck definition.
