Question

I feel I have monkey mouth now. I don't think my injector was that experienced. Btw, I had the injections done yesterday. I didn't have deep lines to begin with and she used one syringe of Juvederm for my nasolabial folds! I am only 28 and I look so unnatural now. There needs to be some lines there and now there are none. I asked if I should do my cheeks instead to lift the nasolabial folds, but she wanted to do this. I'm so ugly now :( I'm only 28. I can't leave the house now :'(

It takes 2-3 weeks to see the outcome of fillers especially Juvederm that swells significantly. Please see an expert if you are unhappy. Best, Dr. Emer

Thank you for your question and for sharing your photographs. I can understand your concerns but there is a fair amount of swelling that develops initially after injections into the face and I would allow 1-2 weeks to pass before assessing your results.  There is safety in that Juvederm is a hyaluronic acid based filler and can be dissolved if you do not like your long-term results.  Hope this helps.

You can't possibly make any assessment of your result 1 day after having the injection.  This may actually swell more over the next few days.  The good news is that if you are not happy with the result after the swelling goes down (give it at least a week), then the filler can be dissolved with an enzyme.

Sorry you are feeling overfilled. Since you just had the injection performed,  you may be experiencing some swelling which can often happen after an injection. Try to wait another week or two before drawing final judgments. If you still are unhappy, you can have a reversal injection performed to remove it. Good luck!
