On Oct 31, 2014 I had upper & lower abdominal lipo. After my procedure I found this website. Almost all comments are related to abdominal lipo combined with other areas like the bra pads and love handles. Will I look awkward with a small stomach but wide hips and my cup runneth over (LOL!, bra pad/back fat)? Will my bra pad and love handle sections make me look off-centered? Will there be a major noticeable change with my stomach since my love handles and bra pads weren't done?

I almost never do liposuction of the stomach alone unless someone truly has a localized area of concern.  Otherwise we are really doing "contouring" which is the entire stomach, sides, back and bra fat all at once.  You look like someone that would benefit from a tummy tuck, since you have a lot of skin laxity, but would dramatically benefit from liposuction/contouring of the back and sides.   I suggest seeing someone who specializes this type of body shaping, as there are very few who do.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Hi. You need a tummy tuck and no more lipo of the abdomen at this time. It appears as though you've had children. You have great deal,of stretch marks indicative of damage to the skin that is not correctable. You are overweight and all of these factors contributed to having a less than optimal result. IMHO you could benefit from a tummy tuck w muscle repair and in addition liposuction of the hips/flanks and bra pads.I am certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and have been performing tummy tucks in the Miami area for the past 29 years. I encourage you to look up the surgeon you eventually select and make sure they have years of experience in performing tummy tucks. Furthermore request to see before and after photos of previous patients by that doctor....not a clinic or surgery center. Do your homework......research and verify the doctor's credentials. Have they had problems with the Board of Medicine, disciplinary or otherwise. Any law suits? How about the center, clinic or facility? Are they accredited by a national organization or do they just have State approval. Understand that at the current time, there are three nationally recognized organizations responsible for the highest levels of patient safety, AAAASF, AAACH and JCHO. You owe it to yourself to position yourself for the best possible results but under the most stringent safety regulations, If you have kids, even more so.How about anesthesia? Will you have a medical doctor certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology or a certified nurse anesthetist (CRNA)? Understand that there is no substitute for research. Cosmetic surgery, no matter how simple it may be to the patients, are invasive procedures and as such carry certain risks and complicationsIn our office we use TouchMD which is a web based program in which patients have the ability to load their picture unto the program. I then evaluate them and can actually draw on the picture to show a potential patient where the incisions would be located and how the procedure is to be realized. It's all done to comply with HIPPA which is the federal law that protects the patient's medical information. Look them up. I would encourage you to contact our office. Thank you for your pictures. In my opinion, you're not a candidate for liposuction alone. You will need some form of abdominoplasty I. I would consult with several board-certified plastic surgeons to get the best treatment plan options

What is amazing to me is that you were even consented to have liposuction since your BMI is obviously > than 30 plus the weight must be in 200 pounds. You needed weight loss and/or gastric bypass for weight loss. Than a full TT or liposuction.

Often doing the love handles( waist) is very helpful because it is a continuing unit from the abdomen. I like to do the bra/back rolls as well because it can make the waist look nice.

It may have been a good idea to have done the love-handles at the same time since they are a continuation of the abdomen. Most plastic surgeons will do a complete analysis before surgery and point out other areas that form the aesthetic area being treated. Wait until you see the final results in 5 to 6 months then consider another procedure if you have an area of concern.
