Why do some doctors avoid bone burring to reshape the jaw/chin?

I've contacted a few doctors & there is varying opinion about whether chin/mandible reshaping by burring the bone is a reliable approach to a more beautiful face. Some prefer implants even though they can sometimes migrate or sliding genioplasty which can result in tightness or discomfort. Can you explain why this is the case or help me find my way to informative material? I'm interested in a more feminine appearance in the safest, most reliable way.

In facial reshaping, jawline reduction by burring has a role but it rarely can create enough of a change to be done alone. This is why it is combined with other procedures such as chin lengthening (by implant or bony genioplasty) to create a change in the shape of the bone in two different directions. But how any of this applies to you can not be discussed as you have not provided any pictures.

Reshaping can require 'burring' the bone; but also trimming it in other ways; and changing the bone position to accomplish a change in facial shape. It all depends on what you want to achieve. Certainly all methods can be used if appropriate
