I'm just wondering if a chin implant or sliding genioplasty would be more suitable for my weak chin. Also, one other question: Is my poor neck countouring caused by a weak platysma muscle or something else? I understand the receded chin can contribute to the lack of countouring but it seems very weak, and I've seen others with weak chins but a nice neck countour. I'm around 20% bodyfat if that helps.

It would be helpful to see pictures of your face to provide a more qualified answer. Some form of bone augmentation is almost always best, whether it just chin implant augmentation, chin and jaw angle augmentation or a more complete wrap around jawline implant.
You have the right idea. Defining the jawline will alter the overall facial shape and angularity. The jawline provides the balance to the middle face soft tissue; otherwise it does not drape evenly.
