The results from small amounts of Botox to the chin is very satisfying. You would need to have the area retreated every 3-4 months but you will receive a smooth un-dimpled chin that should leave you happy with your look.
Thank you for your question about Botox. This appears to be mentalis muscle strain with smiling. Small doses of Botox may be helpful. To be sure, see two or more licensedand board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to makesure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have thesetreatments.I hope this helps.
I treat the chin often in my practice with Botox. It does not take a large amount and you should be very happy with the results. I recommend seeking out a board certified plastic surgeon in your area to preform the injections.
Botox is typically the best option to reduce the pebble chin or orange peel chin. Fillers would need to be placed very superficial and likely would not do a very good job of camouflaging the dimpling in the chin. The results of Botox should last 3-4 months once the optimal number of units has been established. I hope this information is helpful for you.Stephen Weber MD, FACSDenver Facial Plastic Surgeon
If you don't like the dimpled, uneven appearance of your chin with certain facial expressions, the mentalis muscle can be injected safely with neuromodulators like Botox. Although "off-label" according to the FDA, this is a common procedure done in our practice to smooth out unwanted dynamic wrinkles. Fillers are not a good option for this spot on your face.
A pebbly appearance upon movement of the chin or the presence of dimples within the chin at rest typically relate to hyperactivity of the mentalis (chin) muscles with movement, in the former case, and with increased resting muscle tension in the latter. In either case, relaxing the muscles with a few droplets of a neuromodulator (Botox, Dysport or Xeomin) can be extremely helpful in smoothing these two types of problems. Should the dimples persist despite treatment, performing a nonsurgical chin augmentation using a volumizing filler (my choice in my Upper East Side Manhattan practice for this purpose being Voluma XC and Emervel Volume, in my Israel satellite facility where a far greater number of regulatory agency approved volumizers are available) can be extremely helpful for smoothing the irregularities that persist at rest.
A small number of Botox units (between and 4 and 6 units total) can be injected into the mental is muscle of the chin to eliminate chin dimpling. The maximal effect of the treatment will be seen around 1 week after injection. Bruising at the injection site is possible, but extremely rare. Results last around 4 - 6 months.
This should be easily treated with a few units of Botox in the muscle just under the skin in that area, Results last 3-4 months.
This po d' orange skin responds beautifully to 5 units per side. Fillers are helpful with deeper depressions .
Botox works great to help soften those dimples when you smile. It is definitely worth trying to see if you like the results.Patients love it.
I don't want to look frozen! We've all seen the people with overdone Botox. They look expressionless and strange. Their faces may be frozen, their eyebrows may take on an unnatural arch. It's proof that you can have too much of a good thing. With my patients the goal if for them to look relaxed...
Swelling after Botox generally subsides rapidly and isn't usually apparent two days later, so treatment with Prednisone for swelling after Botox is unusual. See your doctor for an assessment and ask what he/she thinks is the cause of the swelling.Click on the link below to see another use for...
You may use NuFACE about 48-36 hours after your injection. The micro current therapy is safe once the Botox has taken some effect. It should not interfere with your botox outcome.
