How to decrease upper eyelid exposure, make my eyes almost completely hooded? (Photo)

Upper eyelid filler injection is one treatment option to reduce upper eyelid exposure. See following video and website link. You also have mild upper eyelid ptosis which adds to the problem but I am not sure if it is enough to warrant ptosis repair. Consultation is needed. Skype consult available.

To fix this, you need a very fussy upper eyelid ptosis surgery that includes an anchor blepharoplasty surgery for both upper eyelids.  Most surgeons do not operate on such small amounts of upper eyelid ptosis.  If you seek consultation for this issue, you will discover that most oculoplastic surgeons prefer posterior approach ptosis.  They like it because it is easy, fast, and reasonably reliable.  That surgery will not be right for you in my opinion.  You need an anterior elevator resection ptosis procedure performed through an incision in the upper eyelid skin.  This has the advantage of permitting very small adjustments in the eyelid contour and position.  There is no substitute for an in person consultation.  A Skype consultation is not adequate for this assessment.  It is necessary to physically examine your eyelids to determine what is best for you.  You should be skeptical of offices that tell you that an online consultation is sufficient to plan your surgery.

Adding some volume to your sub-brow fat pad can help to achieve the results you are looking for. This can be accomplished with either fat transfer for permanent results, or HA filler like Restylane for a less permanent and reversible effect. Consider seeing an oculoplastic surgeon in your area for a consultation.

 This represents a slight asymmetry that we all have. This one just happens to be in a very obvious area, since we interact so much with our eyes. The best correction, although not permanent, is a bit of Botox placed by an expert. It is very inexpensive in the great scheme of things. I do not recommend surgery.All the best,Talmage Raine MD
