Dark skin spots, almost black, in vagina after hair laser removal. What can be done? (Photo)

almost 2 days ago o got my 6th treatment session for laser hair removal. I have never had this reaction before it is black spots as if skin was burned and it is not painful.. I am Very scared.

Thank you for your question. Light skin tone is the best for any laser treatments. Lasers do not age the skin. Consultin with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeons office will help you choose the right treatment options.

Thank you for your question. Dying blond hair does not make laser hair removal effective. There are no Lasers on the market that can remove blond or red colored hair.  Consult with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeons office for the best treatment options.

Thank you for your question. Skin on the genital area is usually darker than other areas of the body. If the laser is not set for the difference from one area to another it can result in burns. Consult with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeons office to further evaluate the issue.

Laser hair removal burns are very common but should not be happening if you go to a well trained physician.  I suggest wound care with janmarini bioshield and dermflage.  Best, Dr. Emer.
