Upper lip laser hair removal burn. Is this common? (Photo)

I have been getting laser hair removal for about 7-8 months now and this last session I was burned and I want to know if this is common and why it happens? Is it because of "pigmentation"? Hope someone can help me with this!

I used to do a lot of this, but I feel that electrolysis is better if you find someone with significant experience.  I suggest finding an expert who does facial hair removal and hair line contouring.  Best, Dr. Emer.

It's fine to pluck the hairs after laser treatment. The time when plucking is NOT recommended is within 2 weeks BEFORE laser treatment because the root of the hair is the target for the laser. Plucking hair does not promote hair growth.
