Hello, I met one doctor and he recommended to put it under the muscle, because he said that after a while, you can see the implant, when it's put subfascial. Would you agree with that? I am not sure, thats why I wanted some answers of well experienced calf implant doctors :)

Answer: Calf implants HiI perform calf implants in the subfascisl plane. That is the commonly accepted plane for both calf and arm implants. I’m not sure how one would place calf implants intramuscular or sub muscular without a large visible scar and I have not heard of that plane being used for this procedure. I would ask for more clarification and photos of before and afters if your interested in moving forward with the surgeon you met with.Best

Answer: Calf Implants The safest and most effective pocket for calf implants is subfascial. While calf implants can be placed under the muscle there are nerve injury risks that are associated with this approach which is why it is almost never done. The subfascial plane is very effective and safe, and like all implant related surgeries, the result is based on the shape and size of the implant. Calf implant 'show'; is a function of too superficial placement (above the fascia) or implants that are oversized and have edges that are too round.
