It always took a lot for me to break a sweat and now after FL (no laser, etc.) I feel my face sweats and turns bright red very easily. Is this because I am still in the healing stage, and all the nerves and pores are trying to repair? I can ride my bike and when I'm home my face is red doesn't matter if it is cool outside or hot. Very curious.

Answer: Facial flushing after facelift Yes I think this is most likely due to the fact that your face is still in a healing phase after your facelift. Although it may not seem like it on the surface, there is generally more inflammation even 4 months after surgery compared to normal and this inflammation which is still healing the tissues on the inside can create the appearance of redness when stimulated with exercise. This should steadily resolve over the span of 6-12 months from the time of surgery.

Answer: Easy to flush after a facelift Hello imagingboomer,Whenever you undergo a facelift the body has to heal. This is done by the body developing new blood vessels in the area in order to allow for more oxygen and nutrients to come to the area. For some people this can show up as small blood vessels on the surface in the area where the skin was elevated. In others it is easy flushing which is what it sounds like you have. Anything you do that will increase the blood flow (like exercise, spicy foods, emotional distress or excitement) can lead to this appearance. For the majority of patients this is only temporary and should resolve with time as the healing process finishes. Certain facelift techniques are more prediposed to this than others so you can ask your surgeon for further verification of what is taking place.I hope this helps and good luck.
